Destinasi Rasa Serantau @ Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara

March 19, 2023 by StrawberrY Gal

Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara is one of the most luxurious hotels in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and is known for providing its guests with an unforgettable experience. With its prime location in the heart of the city, it is the perfect place for visitors to experience the rich culture and heritage of Malaysia. As the holy month of Ramadan approaches, the hotel is gearing up to offer a variety of exciting experiences to its guests.

One of the most popular offerings during Ramadan is the Destinasi Rasa Serantau buffet dinner at Kwee Zeen. Kwee Zeen is the hotel’s signature restaurant, renowned for its Malaysian-Asian cuisine, and is a favourite among locals and tourists alike. This year, the restaurant is all set to bring you a sumptuous buffet dinner themed as ‘Destinasi Rasa Serantau’. The buffet will feature live gamelan music to enliven the atmosphere, making it an unforgettable dining experience for all.

Guests can look forward to indulging in an extensive spread of authentic Malaysian cuisine, including Chef Azhar and Chef Hamizan’s seven signature dishes from the various states of Malaysia. These seven famous dishes are fermented durian with silver catfish ‘tempoyak patin sangkar’ from Pahang, smoked wagyu beef cooked in coconut milk with bird’s eye chili ‘daging wagyu salai masak lemak chili padi’ from Negeri Sembilan, flat rice noodles in fish gravy ‘laksam lemak Pasir Mas’ from Kelantan, roasted lamb with spices ‘kambing panggang perap basah’ from Selangor, spicy sour gravy with fish roe ‘asam pedas telor ikan’ from Melaka, venison meat stewed in coconut milk and spices ‘rendang daging rusa tok batu kikir’ from Perak, and osso buco red curry from Johor.

Apart from these signature dishes, guests can also look forward to trying out the restaurant’s wide selection of kerabu and rojak, which are popular Malaysian salads, and their selection of fried items such as the fried Nangka, which is one of the crowd’s favourites.

And, if you have a sweet tooth, you are in for a treat as the restaurant has a variety of local kuih muih, pastries, popcorns, and manis manisan in their selection. Whether you are looking for something savoury or sweet, you are sure to find something that will satisfy your cravings.

The Destinasi Rasa Serantau buffet dinner will be available from 23rd March 2023 to 21st April 2023, from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. The buffet dinner is priced at RM148+ per adult and RM74+ per child aged 7 to 11 years old from 23rd March to 26th March 2023. From 27th March to 21st April 2023, the buffet dinner is priced at RM188+ per adult and RM99+ per child aged 7 to 11 years old.
