Down To Bones @ Taman OUG : Awesome Pai Guat To Go For!

August 15, 2022 by StrawberrY Gal

Down To Bones is one of the places we recently visited. Being a big fan of ribs, this is one of the best places to go when it comes to pai guat. This kopitiam style restaurant in Taman OUG brings you their awesomely delicious pai guat which you will definitely come back for more.

The restaurant now not just selling pai guat but they have more to offer from ribs, chicken, lamb, pastas and also rice bowls. Being that, the ribs are freshly sourced from local markets and they are marinated overnight. Each item is made of love and sweat where you can definitely taste the delicious meats, al-dente pasta, and awesome rice bowl.

And while entering the outlet you can spot an arcade-style game at the side where you can grab some fun enjoying some play time while waiting for your food. The space complete with the open kitchen concept and is like a coffee shop style. The ambiance is cool and you can spot the big signage “Eat Pork Ribs” as the centerpiece.

Ultra Ribs (RM 34)

The Ultra Ribs comes with delicious bites and it is well perfected after many times of experiments. They are beautifully served with mashed potatoes and coleslaw. The ribs are perfectly grilled and marinated. We can taste the wholesome juicy and tender meat. So good and delicious and we love the smoky and juicy bites of it. Deliciously good!

Super Ribs (RM 34)

Super Ribs is definitely a MUST to have here. The ribs come uniquely good and what makes it better is where they are complete with the kicap manis and cheddar cheese glaze, and top with the Super Ring crumbs. They are indeed a wild experiment but it brings you bursting flavors that one will definitely love. It is the side with the mas potato and delicious coleslaw

Aglio Porky Olio (RM 24)

If those who want to have a combination of both spaghetti and pasta, they have them too. You can order the Aglio Porky Olio where the spaghetti is cooked al-dente and with a fragrant hint of garlic in it. Not just that, it is topped with the sous-vide egg on top which makes the pasta enhanced to the next level. It is sides with the “baby ribs” with it.  The ribs are just nice and it is well grilled to perfection leaving you with the fall -of – the bones texture.

Sambal Bak Kwa Spaghetti (RM24)

Another dish which I love the most is the Sambal Bak Kwa Spaghetti. The homey dish and must-have dish when you are here. The dish completes with their own-grilled bak kwa which is well chared and spiced and then top with the addictive bak kwa sambal, paired with the calamansi, papadum, and a soft-boiled egg. It is indeed a taste of Malaysia and every mouthful is sinfully good I will definitely come back for more!

Mix Wings (RM 19)

Have their Mixed -wing plate where it completes the spicy and non -spicy choice. They are perfectly done where the taste is very appetizing and you can have the sweet and garlic taste of the wings. Awesomely good!

Creamy Pork Curry (RM 24)

For rice lovers, you can go for their Creamy pork Cury. The Creamy Pork Curry completes with the creamy braised pork curry together with the poached egg, crispy pork lards, chilled cucumber, and red onions over pork lard oil flavored rice. Amazingly good..

Overall, we love the Pai Guat here and everything here is amazingly good and delicious. They are superbly good and I can say I will definitely come back for more of the awesome food here.
