Tonkatsu by Wa Kitchen @ Pavilion KL

May 28, 2021 by StrawberrY Gal

Tonkatsu by Wa Kitchen had been in Pavilion for a long time at Level 6. And this time, they had relocate to their new location at Level 4 Pavilion KL. For those who are not aware, Tonkatsu is one of the most beloved “western-style” Japanese foods in Japan. It is pork chop breaded with flour, egg, and Panko (bread crumbs), then deep-fried till golden brown.

Back to their new look, Tonkatsu by Wa Kitchen brings you with a vast variety of Japanese Delights that you will definitely fall in love with. With the lovely dining location, and a cosy ambience, the restaurant is indeed beautifully decorated with the Japanese feel!

Ko Ebi (RM 15)

Start your meals with the Ko Ebi. Ko Ebi, is one of the must to go!  In here, one can enjoy the awesomelicious  deep fried mini ebi which comes so crunchy and addictive. Each bites of the Ko Ebi is so good that I don’t mind more serving.

Yaki Gyoza (RM 18)

Being in a Japanese restaurant, I always love to have gyoza. The gyoza are beautifully pan fried till perfection leaving you with the light crispiness at the edge and inside you can enjoy the flavourful minced meat. I love to enjoy them with some vinegar !

Oraoshi Toriniku Nanban (RM 28)

One must tru here is their Oraoshi Toriniku Nanban. Enjoy the succulent and juicy deep fried chicken chunks which is beautifully topped with the grated radish, and then dipped them with their Nanban Sauce. The chicken comes simply tender and juicy too!

Tonpei Yaki (RM 26)

A comfort meals that definitely wont fail to impress me. This is where one can enjoy this awesomicious egg omelette which is wrapped with the pork belly and then it is topped with the bonito flakes and then served with the chef’s special homemade sauce.

Ebi Furai (RM 38)(4 pcs)

The Ebi Furai is beautifully deep fried till perfection until golden brown. It is sides with a slice of lemon. You can definitely enjoy the deliciously prepared ebi which comes addictively delicious

Rosu Katsu Zen (RM 34)

One  of the signature here! And this time, one can enjoy the delicious breaded pork loin cutlet which is awesomely served with the shredded cabbage, appetizes, vegetables, pork and  miso soup together with the hearty bowl of rice

Hire Katsu + Ebi Furai Zen  (RM 43 (Zen) | RM 35 (Ala-Carte))

The awesomely prepared breaded pork fillet cutlet comes perfectly delicious where they are served together with the prawn as well as the shredded cabbage, appetziers, pickled vegetables, pork vehetable miso soup and rice.

Hokkaido Nabe (RM 43)

One also must try their Hokaido Nabe. The Nabe is quite a popular dish here besides their tonkatsu. Anytime  is perfect for some tummy warming dish where they are completed with the fresh scallops prawns, enoki mushroom, cabbage and spring onion which is beautifully served in the Seafood Nabe Pot.

If you are looking for some delicious comfortable meals,it is time to visit Tonkatsu by Wa Kitchen.
