ONE WORLD HOTEL CROWNED PRESTIGIOUS AWARD AT THE 26TH WORLD TRAVEL AWARDS GRAND FINAL 2019

December 9, 2019 by StrawberrY Gal

The 5-star One World Hotel once again proved itself as one of the most successful and established hotel brands in the local and global hospitality industry. The independently-owned and operated hotel was recently conferred with the esteemed World’s Leading Meeting & Conference Hotel title for the fifth time (since year 2014) at the prestigious 26th World Travel Awards Grand Final Gala Ceremony 2019. The award ceremony took place at the magnificent yet enigmatic Royal Opera House Muscat in the Sultanate of Oman on the 28th November 2019 and saw over 200 travel industry leaders assembled to witness and celebrate the global travel and tourism industry.

One World Hotel owner and director, YBhg Tan Sri Dato’ Teo Chiang Hong attended the ceremony to receive the most sought-after award. The evening marked the pinnacle of the World Travel Award’s 26th Anniversary Grand Tour 2019, an annual search to find and honour the best travel and tourism organisations in the world. Winners from World Travel Awards’ six regional ceremonies namely Caribbean & North America; Middle East; Africa & Indian Ocean; Europe; Latin America and Asia & Oceania contested for the coveted World titles.

Graham Cooke, Founder of World Travel Awards said, “We have had the privilege of recognising the world’s leading hotels, destinations, airlines and travel providers and my congratulations to each of them.”

“I am extremely proud and delighted to end this year on a high note by winning this global prize. Despite operating in a highly competitive market, we were still able to succeed and outshone eight other established world-class brand players from across the globe. Thank you to those who have voted and continuously supporting us. It is also a befitting reward for the hotel’s ongoing commitment to delivering a personalised and seamless guest experience,” said Chris Niuh, One World Hotel’s general manager.
