LOBSTER BAR AND GRILL ENTICES BEEF LOVERS WITH “STEAKS AROUND THE WORLD” SPECIAL MENU

November 18, 2018 by StrawberrY Gal

Between 1 and 30 November 2018, Lobster Bar and Grill at Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong will launch the “Steaks around the World” special menu- a compilation of quality steaks sourced from Korea, Japan, France, England, Ireland and Spain.

The “Steaks around the World” menu consists of six dishes made with a variety of premium beefs, all grilled to perfection with minimal seasoning to highlight their respective flavours. First on the list is the coveted Korean beef, or Hanwoo. Known for its exquisite marbling and intense flavour, Hanwoo was rarely exported until recently due to its constantly high domestic demand.

The selected 1++ (the highest grade) Hanwoo comes from cows that are fed fermented pine needles – a vital source of probiotics that keeps the cows healthy naturally. The flavourful Hanwoo steak comes with well-matched condiments including kimchi, fried sweet potato, shiso leaves and Korean barbecue sauce.

Another noteworthy selection on the list is the Galician dry-aged porterhouse from Spain. The beef comes from the Simmental cattle of Galicia in the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula. Served with homemade chorizo and potato croquette, the 1-kilogram porterhouse steak with tenderloin and striploin on each side is dry-aged for 30 days; the resulting dark-coloured meat gives a deep flavour that lingers on the palate.

Other steaks on the special menu include the all-time favourite Japanese Wagyu A4 striploin from Kagoshima; French Charolais tenderloin; organic free-range tenderloin from Woodbridge, England; as well as the 1-kilogram dry-aged free-range tomahawk from Longford, Ireland.

For reservations, guests may call (852) 2820 8560, send an e-mail to [email protected] or book online via bit.ly/lbgbooking.
