CELEBRATING MOTHER’S DAY AT STARHILL GALLERY

Celebrating Mother’s Day at Starhill Gallery
In conjunction with Mother’s Day on 10th May 2015, there will be a myriad of dining events to cater to diners at Feast Village the weekend off. Starting from the evening of Friday 8th May 2015 and ending on Sunday 10th May, diners will be spoilt for choice with a variety of dining events available to celebrate this special occasion in Malaysia’s premier luxury mall, Starhill Gallery.

Friday 8th May 2015: Fisherman’s Cove Seafood Platter Promotion
On Friday evening, those looking to celebrate Mother’s Day early can opt for an evening at Fisherman’s Cove with the special seafood platter promotion with unlimited serving of appetisers and a large seafood platter to share. With a varying menu and cooking methods, the platter is served with seven savoury condiments. The offer is sweetened with a dessert platter prepared especially by the Chef for this occasion.

Price: RM296 for 2, RM496 for 4

Saturday 9th May 2015: Sentidos Viva la Vida Spanish Buffet
Those choosing to celebrate Mother’s Day on Saturday evening may go to Sentidos Gastrobar and Dining. The Viva la Vida Spanish buffet offers a variety of authentic tasting cuisine and free flow alcohol which includes the signature sangria, as well as margarita, caipiroska, caipirinha cocktails, Tiger beer, red and white wine.

Sunday 10th May 2015: Shook! Mad Hatter’s Champagne Brunch
Relieve mother from cooking duty by treating her to an afternoon at the Mad Hatter’s Champagne Brunch. Great for celebrating mothers of all generations, the Champagne Brunch features cuisine from four different kitchens; Japanese, Chinese, Italian and Western Grill. The longest running brunch in Kuala Lumpur also serves free-flowing Moët & Chandon Champagne throughout all four hours.

Sunday 10th May 2015: Afternoon Buffet at Newens Tea House
The English afternoon hi-tea at Newens Tea House is great for diners who are looking to spend a relaxing afternoon with their mothers. Set in an Art Deco environment with soft music playing in the background, a mother will feel nothing short of luxury at Newens Tea House. The afternoon buffet will include a variety of savoury pastries and decadent desserts of the finest quality with unlimited serving of the Red Rose Tea.

Saturday and Sunday 9th and 10th May 2015: 8-Course Teochew Mother’s Day Set at Pak Loh Chiu Chow
Diners who prefer a traditional cuisine may opt for Pak Loh Chiu Chow’s eight-course Mother’s Day set on this special weekend. The golden sister of the famous Hong Kong establishment uses only the finest ingredients to create truly authentic Chiu Chow dishes. Some signature dishes include the Drunken Pork Trotter with Plum (part of the combination appetiser), the Classic Duck with Plum and Mandarin Skin, and the refreshing Sweetened Double-boiled Sea Bird’s Nest.

Price: 4 pax at RM468, 6 pax at RM638 and 10 pax at RM1038. Additional pax at RM110.

The English Afternoon Tea at Newens Tea House highlights the Original Maids of Honour tarts, a recipe that is 500-years old and was once served only to the royal household of King Henry VIII.
