CHEONG FATT TZE RESTAURANT @ THE BLUE MANSION

May 5, 2015 by StrawberrY Gal

The Cheong Fatt Tze Restaurant is a Chinese restaurant in Penang serving highly- refined modern Cantonese cuisine reflecting the stature of a jet-setting, aristocratic man of his time.
E-20150410-2561
The restaurant promises a romantic, fine-dining experience, housed within The Blue Mansion, which was Cheong Fatt Tze’s favourite, most lavish home built before the end of the 19th century. The restaurant is indeed beautiful interior with the antique chairs and table around.
E-20150410-2606
We started off with the Wok – Fried Golden King Prawn with Mango Cream (RM 42) where the king prawns is coated and deep fried till golden. It is then being topped with the sweet mango sauce on top.
CFT MANSION RESTAURANT
We enjoy their delicious and yet nutritious soup – The Double Boiled Silky Chicken with Abalone and Seafood in Golden Pumpkin Brooth (RM 38). The nutritious soup comes awesomely good where the soup remains at it natural sweetness and it’s like having a home cooked meals.
CFT MANSION RESTAURANT
The Superior Atlantic cod gently fried and flavoured with Jiang Zhen Sauce (RM 65) is one of my favorite. The flaky fresh meat of the Atlantic cod fish with the sweet and spicy sauce is simply lovely. I love how it is served and each mouthful is divinely good.
CFT MANSION RESTAURANT
Next is the Crispy Marmite Chicken (RM 36). The chicken is well marinated till perfection with the tender meat and it is being fried. The crispiness at the outside with the juiciness in the inside comes to our favorite too.
CFT MANSION RESTAURANT
Last but not least, we ordered the Broccoli with King Mushroom in Oyster Sauce.
CFT MANSION RESTAURANT
As for dessert, try their signature Chilled Mango Sago with Pomelo in Ice Cream (RM 14) The sweet sourish sensation of dessert comes awesomely good with the bites of pomelo in it,
CFT MANSION RESTAURANT
The Blue Mansion Tiramisu (RM 28) comes to our favourite. The tiramisu is indeed well done and well layered with a whipped mixture of eggs, sugar, and mascarpone cheese, flavoured with cocoa. Nice one.
