HARBOUR RESTAURANT PRESENTS “FOIE GRAS AND SEA URCHIN” DINNER BUFFET

June 23, 2014 by StrawberrY Gal

Starting from 1 July 2014, “Foie Gras and Sea Urchin” Dinner Buffet will be served at Harbour Restaurant of The Harbourview. Featuring a divine array of delicacies incorporating French and Hungarian foie gras and Japanese and Korean sea urchin, the buffet is definitely tantalizing in the eyes of foie gras and sea urchin lovers.

Highly recommended foie gras appetizers in the latest buffet are Drunken Foie Gras and Prawn Salad and Paté de Foie Gras with Lychee Jelly, gourmets are suggested to try out these simple but delectable starters to kick off the buffet. For hot dishes, our Executive Chef demonstrates delicate Chinese and western cooking skills in various foie gras specialties. Steamed Foie Gras with Preserved Plum Powder is one of the innovative creations prepared in Chinese style – after steaming the mixture of squashed foie gras, French cream and egg, the sweet and sour preserved plum powder will be sprinkled evenly on top of the foie gras and egg to add an appetizing touch. You will be surprised by the richness and smoothness of the foie gras mixture. A mouthwatering western delight is Foie Gras Burger Steak which is a blend of US beef, foie gras, onion and bread. It is handmade everyday by our chefs who carefully control the cooking temperature and time to ensure the tenderness and juiciness of the burger steak. While for another featured ingredient, sea urchin, Gratinated Seafood with Sea Urchin Cream and Steamed Egg Tofu with Sea Urchin and Crab Roe are our chef’s recommendations. Sauces of both dishes are made of fresh sea urchin, the sauces are perfectly paired with luscious seafood or silk smooth tofu, bringing you a special way to sample the sweetness of sea urchin.

What’s more, 8 kinds of seafood including New Zealand Oysters, French Edible Crabs, Canadian Rock Crabs, Snow Crab Legs and French Golden Sea Whelks will be available in the jet-fresh Assorted Seafood Platter from Monday to Thursday. In addition to the above, King Crab Legs will be added to the platter from Friday to Sunday and on Public Holidays and eves, making a total of 9 kinds of seafood available to offer you the deepest satisfaction. Another highlight is the sizzling Grilled Counter. Apart from the regular offerings like Grilled Chicken Soft Bone Sausage, Grilled Minute Steak and Grilled Lamb Chop, Seared Foie Gras with Raspberry Balsamic Vinegar Dressing will be prepared in front of you too! To match with the theme, Sea Urchin and Squid Sushi and Foie Gras Sushi with Balsamic Vinegar Dressing will be available at the Sushi and Sashimi Counter to please your palate. Meanwhile, Scallop, Sweet Shrimp, Surf Clam, Herring and Salmon and more sashimi selections are also served at the counter on rotation basis. Other food counters such as Cheese Counter and Salad Bar are also prepared for diners who desire healthier and lighter dining.

Sumptuous desserts always round off the meal perfectly. The most seductive dessert in the buffet must be our MOVENPICK Ice Cream from Switzerland, 8 flavours are now ready for ice cream lovers! Furthermore, the sough-after Fried Ice Cream prepared a-la-minute will be back to the Dessert Counter this summer, a series of ingredients and toppings will be provided for you to tailor make your own ice cream. Besides, we also serve Opera, Orange Yoghurt Mousse Cake, Tofu Mousse, Crème Brûlée and Chocolate Fountain to satisfy your sweet tooth. To sooth the summer heat, Yanjing Beer is specially added to the buffet menu for all adults on free flow basis.
