This festive season, Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong has prepared an array of celebratory activities, including a charity sale of McDull plush toy, a Christmas tree lighting ceremony, as well as themed countdown parties, a dazzling selection of dining offers, gourmet hampers and holiday gifts.

Limited-edition “McDull Christmas Tree” Charity Sale

In collaboration with renowned local illustrator Alice Mak, Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong and Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong present the limited-edition “McDull Christmas Tree” plush toy for this year’s fundraising campaign.  Proceeds will go directly to Heep Hong Society – one of Hong Kong’s largest service providers of early intervention and education for children with autism and specific learning difficulties. For more information about this charity, please visit www.heephong.org

“We are delighted to celebrate the fourth year of partnership between the hotel and Heep Hong Society with such a well-loved character,” said Wolfgang Krueger, vice president and general manager of Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong.  “By supporting this charity sale, guests are not only buying a lovely and limited-edition plush toy as Christmas gift for their loved ones, they are also contributing towards a meaningful Christmas present for children with special needs.”

“I love creating different images for McDull and this time, dressing him up as a Christmas tree.  I have placed a lot of colourful ornaments and a comfortable cushion for McDull to sit on.  I wish everyone a joyful, comfortable and fruitful Christmas,” Ms. Mak said.

Priced at HK$150 each, “McDull Christmas Tree” is available for sale at both hotels.
