Smoke & Mirrors Embarks on a New Journey afterNine Remarkable Years at National Gallery Singapore

February 14, 2025 by StrawberrY Gal

Nine years after first captivating Singapore’s cocktail scene with its innovative mixology and panoramic city views, Smoke & Mirrors, Singapore’s premier rooftop cocktail destination, announces its departure from its renowned location atop National Gallery Singapore. The much loved bar invites its cherished patrons to stay tuned as it embarks on a new exciting chapter. As the bar reaches the natural conclusion of its lease agreement and prepares for its final service on Saturday, 15 March 2025, it delivers its own love letter to the guests who have joined its journey, with special Valentine experiences, and celebratory guest shifts and partnerships with industry friends.

Bespoke Cocktails by Smoke & Mirrors and Live DJ parties

Showcasing their creativity and cocktail expertise, the Smoke & Mirrors team invites guests to join them for a final hurrah from 15 February to 15 March 2025. The bar team invites guests to share their favourite flavours and spirits, before crafting a bespoke cocktail that’s tailored to their unique tastes; a special opportunity to truly experience the team’s skills, creativity and hospitality as they host them for their last hurrah, set against the stunning backdrop of Singapore’s historic and modern landmarks.

Valentine’s Day Cocktails

(L-R: Love Spell, Enchanted Rose, Velvet Romance, Obsessed With You)

This February, Smoke & Mirrors continues to captivate those seeking to celebrate the season of love with four exclusive cocktails which combine to spell the word “LOVE”, crafted in partnership with Hendrick’s Gin. Each drink is created to enchant and delight, offering a taste of romance with every sip. Guaranteed to leave guests spellbound, Love Spell (SGD 28) casts a refreshing allure with Hendrick’s Grand Cabaret gin, rosé wine, pomegranate, lemon and a splash of soda. Obsessed With You (SGD 34) weaves osmanthus-infused Hendrick’s Gin with Amaretto, Cointreau, lemon and honey, crowned with a luscious light foam, to create the ultimate indulgence while Velvet Romance (SGD 32) is a decadent blend of Hendricks Grand Cabaret gin, homemade mulled wine, mint and lime for a perfect balance of spice and sweetness.

Enchanted Rose (SGD 32) lives up to its name with a beautiful fusion of Hendrick’s Gin, rosé wine, maraschino liqueur, lime and grapefruit – creating a floral cocktail that will leave a lasting impression.

Valentine’s Day Packages

For its romantic Valentine’s celebration, Smoke & Mirrors presents two distinct packages that pair its signature cocktails with swoon-worthy Marina Bay vistas on 14 February 2025. The early evening ’99 Eternal Happiness’ Package invites guests to toast the sunset from 6pm with three hours of free-flow prosecco and non-alcoholic beverages at SGD 99++ per person. For those seeking a more intimate nighttime ambiance, the ‘134 I Love You’ Package offers priority outdoor seating from 9.30pm, complete with three hours of free-flow prosecco and the Valentine’s “LOVE” cocktails.

Reservations can be made via email at [email protected]; 100% pre-payment is required to secure all reservations.

Smoke and Mirrors Bar Team Mixes Things Up Overseas, and Hosts Industry Friends

The spirit of creativity continues to flow across borders as Smoke & Mirrors’ talented bar team participates in an exciting series of regional guest shifts this February and March. The bar’s mixologists will first showcase their expertise at The Great Room, Marriott Hotel Penang on February 15, presenting an exclusive masterclass featuring innovative creations like The Golden Ticket (RM 48), a sophisticated blend of peanut butter-washed Bruichladdich Classic Laddie, and Zen Voyage (RM 52), an elegant composition of The Botanist Gin with melon and sherry wine. The team will then bring their distinctive style to The Pi in Vietnam on February 21.

Adding to the dynamic exchange of cocktail culture, Smoke & Mirrors welcomes acclaimed bartenders from across Asia to its Singapore home. The bar is poised to host Taipei’s MQ Marquee on February 23, followed by a special takeover on March 3 by Dedy Pratama, Bar Supervisor at Bali’s Numero Quattro and recent winner of Indonesia’s Buffalo Trace Perfectly Untamed Bartender Competition. MQ Taipei (Marquee)’s Bar Manager, Ice, and Head Bartender, Wesley, will be serving up the bar’s delicious new cocktails,  combining subtle hints of tropical fruits and teas with rich base spirits to complement the picturesque views of the Singapore skyline. Meanwhile, Dedy Pratama’s guest shift sees him sharing creative twists on Italian aperitivo serves and classics.

Industry Partnerships: Código Margarita Week, Balvenie Whisky Flights

(L-R: All Things Margs at Smoke & Mirrors, Balvenie Whisky Flight)

Exciting industry partnerships enhance the celebrations at Smoke & Mirrors, running from February to March. In celebration of World Margarita Day, the venue partners with tequila purveyors Código for the All Things Margs 2025 activation. From 19 February to 2 March 2025, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy three distinctive Código margarita-style cocktails: the refreshing Tommy’s Margarita, featuring Código Rosa, lime, and agave; the vibrant Pippo, made with Código Blanco infused with blue pea, passionfruit, sour apple, and lime; and the tropical Codi-palada, a mix of Código Reposado, Malibu, white cacao, pineapple, and orange.

The venue will also host an exclusive activation with The Balvenie throughout February. Whisky enthusiasts can savour a curated flight of three exceptional The Balvenie whiskies: The Balvenie Stories 12 The Sweet Toast of American Oak, The Balvenie Stories 14 The Week of Peat, and The Balvenie Stories 14 American Bourbon Barrel. These limited-time experiences offer guests a chance to enjoy memorable moments as they savour the unique flavours of their drams.
