foodpanda Malaysia Elevates Aidilfitri Celebrations for Delivery Partners Nationwide

April 24, 2024 by StrawberrY Gal

In continuation of embracing the spirit of giving this Aidilfitri, foodpanda Malaysia, the leading food and grocery delivery platform, has further expanded its festive initiatives as a form of appreciation to its delivery partners during this joyous season.

The Household Quest recognised outstanding delivery partners. A total of 185 delivery partners benefited from this initiative, receiving household appliances valued at over RM300,000, including a range of items such as a 65-inch UHD Smart TV, refrigerator, and sofa set to enhance their homes and lifestyles. Delivery partners who consistently maintained a 90% high acceptance rate and demonstrated a low rate of no-show were eligible to enter this quest.

foodpanda Malaysia also launched the Gold Bar Quest from April 15 to May 6 to reward active delivery partners who demonstrated exceptional dedication and performance. Thirty lucky delivery partners will each receive a prize of 2 grams of gold bars, collectively valued at over RM24,600.

Continuing with the spirit of generosity this Aidilfitri, delivery partners and their plus-ones will win a return Umrah trip collectively valued at over RM60,000. The top three delivery partners will be selected based on their outstanding order fulfilment, top performance and longest serving delivery partners. The quest would run between the 15th of April to the 15th of May and is open to all delivery partners nationwide.

Director of Operations at foodpanda Malaysia, Shubham Saran said, “In a significant milestone for foodpanda Malaysia, with a substantial investment of more than RM400,000, we are proud to embark on a historic first – a large-scale celebration for the delivery partner community in the country. This initiative represents a monumental effort, highlighting our unwavering commitment to enhancing the experience of our delivery partners.”

“We deeply value their dedication and efforts in ensuring seamless and timely delivery to our customers every day. This festive season is the perfect opportunity to extend our gratitude for their resilience and hard work. From the beginning of Ramadan to the end of Syawal, we have initiated a series of festive programmes to support and uplift our delivery partner community by offering enriching experiences like the Umrah trips, gold bars, new household appliances and care packages. At foodpanda Malaysia, we’re committed to celebrating our delivery partner community year-round through various initiatives, with special emphasis during festive periods as we embrace inclusivity among our delivery partners,” added Shubham.

To kick off the Raya festivities, 21 delivery partners received care packages containing essential household items for Hari Raya. Delivery partners in need were identified and received care packages valued at over RM350 each. These care packs included essentials such as cooking oil, noodles, Raya Cookies, Drinks, spices and more.

Commemorating Hari Raya with a new outfit symbolises a fresh start. Recognising this tradition, foodpanda Malaysia rewarded 140 delivery partners with new Baju Raya valued at over RM300 each. This was made possible in partnership with Jakel, Malaysia’s largest textile retailer nationwide. Delivery partners across seven key locations, including the Klang Valley, Penang, Kedah, Perak, Johor Bahru, Sabah, and Sarawak received new Baju Raya for themselves and their families.

To further exemplify its commitment, foodpanda Malaysia hosted a series of buka puasa events, organised hijab giveaways for female Muslim delivery partners, and implemented a delivery partner tipping programme throughout the month of Ramadan to support the delivery partner community while underscoring its core values in action.

Recognising the invaluable contribution of its delivery partners as the backbone of the business, foodpanda Malaysia’s goal is to ensure delivery partners feel cared for and part of the panda family. In the coming months, foodpanda Malaysia will gradually introduce more new and improved benefits, bonus quests, and other initiatives to further elevate experience.
