The Queen Restaurant @ IPC : Halal Chinese Cuisine in Mall

March 15, 2023 by StrawberrY Gal

For those seeking a wholesome and delicious Halal Chinese cuisine experience, look no further than The Queen Restaurant @ IPC. This fine dining establishment is the perfect destination for family and corporate dining, serving up authentic, freshly made Dim Sum and Chinese fusion cuisine in Ikano Power Center, Mutiara Damansara, Malaysia.

The Story

The Queen Restaurant is dedicated to serving a diverse community, offering Halal-certified Chinese fusion dishes that can be enjoyed by people from all walks of life. Their unique blend of Chinese and Malay cuisine creates a truly one-of-a-kind dining experience that is both flavorful and satisfying.

The concept of The Queen Restaurant was inspired by its owner, a mixed-heritage individual with Malay, and Chinese roots. With her unique background, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the restaurant, allowing her to introduce and share the many fusion dishes that she grew up with to the public.

The Environment

As soon as we stepped into the restaurant, we were struck by its stunning decor that seamlessly blends Chinese elements with a modern twist. Every corner of the restaurant is exquisitely designed, from the vibrant red walls to the elegant marble accents. One standout feature of the decor is the beautiful lantern decorations that hang from the ceiling, adding a touch of whimsy and charm to the space. Love It!

What We Eat

To kickstart our meal, we indulged in a delightful selection of dim sum at the restaurant. From delectable steamed to crispy fried dim sum, the choices were aplenty.

We were spoilt for choice with their extensive variety, ranging from classic favorites such as the Money Bag, Red Bean Paste Bun, and Steamed Siew Mai, to more unique options like the Honey Glaze Chicken Bun, Sweet & Sour Beancurd Roll, King Prawn Dumpling, Sesame Ball, Spring Roll, and many more mouthwatering options.

Each bite was a burst of flavor, leaving us with an insatiable craving for more.

Herbal Roast Duck Soup

To truly elevate your dining experience, we highly recommend starting your meal with the restaurant’s mouthwatering Herbal Roast Duck Soup. This hot and delicious soup is the perfect way to whet your appetite and awaken your senses. With its herbaceous notes and complex flavor profile, every spoonful of the soup is a symphony of taste and aroma that is sure to satisfy even the most discerning palate. The chicken is slow-cooked to perfection, resulting in tender and juicy meat that is full of flavor. What sets this dish apart is the unique combination of herbs and spices, including tong gui and red dates, which lend the chicken a subtle and invigorating herbal taste. These ingredients not only enhance the flavor of the dish, but also add numerous health benefits, making it a great choice for those looking for a nutritious meal. The dish is topped off with a generous portion of ear fungus, which adds a satisfying crunch and a subtle earthy flavor.

For those who love seafood, the Steamed Prawns wrapped with Vermicelli in Chili and Garlic Sauce is a must-try dish. The dish features perfectly steamed prawns that are cooked to perfection and delicately wrapped in a bed of thin and delicate vermicelli. The prawns are fresh and succulent, and they are perfectly complemented by the spicy and flavorful chili and garlic sauce. The sauce is sweet, sour, and slightly spicy, and it brings out the natural sweetness of the prawns while also adding a satisfying kick of heat. The dish is well-balanced, with the sauce not overpowering the natural flavor of the prawns but rather enhancing it. The vermicelli adds a pleasing texture to the dish, and it perfectly absorbs the flavors of the sauce and the prawns.

House Special Soy Sauce Chicken Wings

Introducing the newest addition to the menu, the House Special Soy Sauce Chicken Wings. The result is tender and succulent chicken wings that are bursting with the complex flavors of the marinade. The wings are then expertly deep fried to a perfect golden crispiness, giving you the perfect combination of juicy meat and crispy skin with every bite. Diced Chicken & Asparagus in XO Sauce
