HSC Medical Center KL : My health caretaker

June 2, 2017 By StrawberrY Gal - Lifestyle Leave a Comment

It is actually very scary  to me as being a food blogger, we tried almost everything the merchant happily served to us. But do we really know if we are having any health issues after consuming all this goodies everyday.  Plus, recently I had heard so much about friends leaving us to another planets meeting the lord and they have just passed away without any symptoms. I am thinking to myself, do we really know our health condition. After talking to many of my friends; many refuses to do medical checkup as they do not want to know the condition of their hearts / health as they think they are still young and body is still in good condition, some had done the simple check in farmasi or clinics but they might be not intensive enough.

(from The Star)

As I browse through some newspaper earlier, this really scare me off as well where I found out that 10.6% of Malaysian are having heart issues. It is indeed a scary number to look at! And recently I have my one day off my busy workload to get my heart screening and assured I am good and fit being a food blogger.

I had found out about the HSC Healthcare Group where they are one of the Internationally respected healthcare group with operations stretching the entire wellness chain. And they are famed from comprehensive health screening to cardiac therapeutic services, mobile health applications to health supplements.

With its head quarter located in a prime alcove of Ampang at Menara HSC, its cutting-edge medical facilities include state-of-the-art medical equipment and a cutting-edge operating theatre for spine and joint, as well as eyes procedures.

I had recently had my medical checkout there and it is really impressively good. From the moment I step in till the finishing of the health care, I am not feeling I am in a hospital where the service is just absolutely good. Ad as the start, I am being briefed about the package that are being recommended to go for where  they have from basic, to comprehensive checkup. Since I had times that I felt heartburn, I am definitely go for the heart checkup. I had been to some clinics and hospitals to check but everytime they come up to tell me that I have no issues but I am not to convince as I had a friend who had a heart attack recently even though she had go for normal medical checkout 2 weeks ago.

I went for the Heart checkout where  it includes a long list of test which is the comprehensive blood & urine test, HbA1c/Glycosylated HB , HsCRP & Tumuor Marker, Vitamin D test, Hepatitis C Antibody, Resting ECG, Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone Test, Resting ECG, Exercise Stress Test and many more. The list of the package listed below

As I am a first time customer, the doctor will have a basic interview with me and asking me questions on my health and also parent’s health. It would be good if you have all the details on hand. I had my blood test where this will check on my blood counts, cholesterol level , diabetic and many more.

I am then move on to do ultrasound test for my uterus as well as liver, breast and pancreas. It is actually to ensure no lumps in your parts of body.

Continuously I had other test which includes the DEXA Bone Mineral Density Spine & Hip, DSCT Coronary Calsium Scan.  There are also  eye Screening where  I am being tested on my Tonometry, Retinogram, and AMD. Aside, the test comes even complete with the audiogram.

With the test I had done for the half a day; I am actually pretty relieved and I know better about my health and heart. It is definitely worth to pay for this as I am assured of my health is good and I can also take pre-caution on what  to  eat and not.

Since I am having a slightly high urid-acid, and doctor had adviced on certain food not to take such as beans, mushrooms and internal organs. Asides, I am being adviced on how to take care of our hearts where one need to do a medical checkout minimum one year once as well as making sure eating healthy and exercising  will actually helps to maintain good and better health.
So why not book your timing with HSC and get your medical checkup now. Bring your family along too as health is more important than wealth. And what’s more you can get your medical report on the same day except for papsmear it will be send over to you.

No health No Wealth and I believe Precaution is better than Cure.
