SWITCH OFF, TURN UP AT ORCHARD HOTEL SINGAPORE

March 16, 2016 by StrawberrY Gal

In demonstration of the commitment to protect our planet Earth and heighten awareness about environmental consciousness, Orchard Hotel Singapore has pledged its participation in Earth Hour 2016 on Saturday 19 March 2016 from 8.30pm. As with past years, the hotel will be switching off non-essential lights, water features and turning up air-condition temperatures. All hotel guests and staff are strongly encouraged to “Switch Off, Turn Up” in the guest rooms and offices as a mark of support for this good cause.

Meanwhile, take advantage of our cool $0.60 deals offered at Orchard Café, Noodles, Mon Bijou and Intermezzo Bar from 18 March to 21 March 2016!

“The BCA Green Mark Award (Gold) 2011 – 2018 accorded to Orchard Hotel Singapore demonstrates the efforts and continued commitment we put in implementing sustainable practices and going green over the past years.  At Orchard Hotel Singapore, we understand that to achieve environmental sustainability and to make a difference, ongoing improvements must be made beyond the Earth Hour. Some measures we undertake include changing to LED lighting in order to conserve energy, switching off the air conditioning and lights in the offices during lunch time and after office hours, increasing the temperature in the public areas by one degree celsius and dimming the lights of public areas wherever possible,” said Richard Ong, General Manager of Orchard Hotel Singapore.

For reservations at Orchard Café, please call 6739 6565 or email [email protected].  All prices quoted are subject to service charge and prevailing government taxes.
