THE ARASHIYAMA BAMBOO GROVE @ KYOTO

September 30, 2015 By StrawberrY Gal - Japan, Kyoto, Travel 4 Comments

KYOTO DAY 2

After our trip via the Romantic Train to venture the beautiful view; Arashiyama (嵐山) is a pleasant, touristy district in the western outskirts of Kyoto. Since the trip is a short one, we visited the beautiful view of th e Arashiyama Bamboo Grove.
KYOTO DAY 2
The Arashiyama Bamboo Grove is one of Kyoto’s top sights and for good reason. Aside, it’s one of the most photographed sights in the city. Walking along the torii tunnels of the Bamboo Grove is indeed intresting, cold and nice. The place is simply beautiful with all the huge bamboo all the way of your visit and I just cant get enough enjoying each part of the Bamboo Grove. The groves are particularly attractive when there is a light wind and the tall bamboo stalks sway gently back and forth.

KYOTO DAY 2

You can access it directly from the main street of Arashiyama, a little to the north of the entrance to Tenryu-ji Temple, but it’s best paired with a visit to that temple (exit the north gate, take a left and you’ll be in the grove in no time).
