EXQUISITE MOONCAKES: MID AUTUMN CELEBRATION AT THE WESTIN KUALA LUMPUR

The Westin Kuala Lumpur invites you to celebrate one of the oldest Chinese traditions, the Mid-Autumn Festival. From 15th July to 8th September, guests can purchase our delectable and exquisite mooncakes at Five Sen5ses and Daily Treats. The Mid-Autumn Festival began in the Zhang Dynasty; where the people worshiped the mon to commemorate their thanks to the moon godes for the good harvest. Up until the Southern Song Dynasty, people sent round cakes to family members to express their best wishes for a family reunion.

Those round cakes are now called the mooncakes and it represents fortune, family and harmony. With 8 baked skin mooncake flavours to chose from, you can take your pick from traditional flavours such as White Lotus Paste with Single Yolk, Lotus Paste with Twin Yolk, Red Bean Paste ‘Tau Sah’ and Five Sen5ses Assorted Nuts Mixture to our healthy selections of Gren Tea with Single Yolk and Black Sesame with White Lotus Paste.

If you are looking for specialty moon-cakes to spice up your Mid-Autumn Festival, chose between our Golden Jade Pandan with Single Yolk and Shanghainese-style Lotus Paste with Single Yolk.The Westin Kuala Lumpur mooncakes make the best gifts and this year’s selection of gift boxes comes in purple to represent our wishes for spiritual, physical and mental well-being. The design on the gift boxes is simple, elegant and made easy for you to tailor your gift box according to the flavors you chose.

The gift boxes are available in 2 different designs:
The Full Mon Box (set of 4 mooncakes) allows guests to chose 4 flavors out of the available 8 varieties of mooncakes.

Price: RM 108+ per box

The Harmonious Mon Box (set of 6 moncakes ) alows guests to chose 6 flavours of the available 8varieties of moncakes.

Price: RM 158+ per box.

Alternatively, all baked skin mooncakes can be purchased individually in their basic wrapping for RM25+ per piece.

The Westin Kuala Lumpur moncakes are also available at Midvalley Megamall from 20th August to 8th September. Do drop by our both at Midvaley to purchase our delicious moncakes.
