Our Specialty Malay Chef – Borhan Senin
Chef Borhan Senin has started his culinary journey 1986 as a 19-year old apprentice in a Kuala Lumpur restaurant specializing in Malaysian cuisine. After 2 years of hard work, his natural talent on the range saw him being promoted to Assistant Cook, then soon after, as Malay Cook and Senior Cook. Seeking to expand his knowledge and experience, Borhan joined the well-known Heritage Hotel in Kuala Lumpur.
Over the years, Borhan has held positions as Specialty Malay Chef at the Concorde Hotel and Pearl International Hotel. Between 1990 to 2006, he toured Sri Lanka, Indonesia, India and Switzerland to promote Malaysian cuisine. In 2009, he won a silver medal in the Nyonya Heritage Cooking competition.
Borhan joined Pullman Kuala Lumpur Bangsar in October 2013 as a member of the pre-opening team and has been instrumental in developing the Malay cuisine menus for the All-Day Dining restaurant and Banquets. With over 25 years of experience, Borhan’s skills in Malay cuisine are quickly establishing Pullman Kuala Lumpur Bangsar as a preferred destination for Malay specialties.
