SERAI, JAYA SHOPPING CENTRE

May 15, 2014 By StrawberrY Gal - Food Review 2 Comments

Serai first opened its doors in 1990, serving customers authentic Northern cuisine. The restaurant infused selected Thai recipes that are most prevalent in most Northern homes and cookery. With their new opening in Jaya Shopping Centre, Serai had made a different twist of flavor – an East meets West cuisine.

The restaurant is located at the corner lot of the Ground Floor of the mall itself bringing you an awesome dining experience. The chic and unique concept with the urban setting is what I am looking at. The menu comprises of fusion food – mainly local delights as well as Western.

We ordered the Serai Platter (RM 25). The fluffy white rice which is infussed with the lemongrass brought us with the aromatic blend. Served together with the h honey squid, fresh acar, juicy fried chicken, and oxtail asam pedas. It’s so delicious and the blend is such a heaven. The chicken is well marinated and it’s meat is juicy and tender

Another item is the That we had is the Spicy Thai Rice (RM 15). The fragrant Thai rice fried with shrimp paste and accompanied with minced chicken, egg omelete, fresh acar and Thai Ikan Bilis. The blend of fried rice is simply packed with the great aroma and each mouthful is sinfully good. I miss it!

Delicious for the Serai platter, but the place no wifi available to customers. I do ask from a waiter, his answer given was “for management use only”..
