TAIPEI STORY HOUSE

July 25, 2013 by StrawberrY Gal

After that, we went for a visit at the Taipei Story House which is worth to be a place to visit. We took a bus from the Floral Festival Site to the Taipei Story House and every 2-3 months there will be a different exhibition going on.

This round, our visit there will be on bank notes and the house is being displayed with the bank notes from different countries round the world. We learned about the currency and more there. Unfortunately there is no photography allowed in the museum.

 About The Taipei Story House

Taipei Story House (台北故事館), old name Yuanshan Mansion (圓山別莊), is a historic house in the Zhongshan District of Taipei, Taiwan, now open as a museum. The villa is also known as the “fairytale cream house” for its extraordinary yellow-creamy look. Established during the period of the Japanese colonial period in 1914 when the Japanese government was in the stage of transforming Taipei into the financial and cultural center of Taiwan, the villa served as a reception venue and a meeting place for the Taipei’s local gentry, Japanese officials, tea merchants, as well as foreign guests.
