TEXAS CHICKEN® OPENS THE FIRST RESTAURANT IN MALAYSIA

February 20, 2013 By ivykam - Food Review Leave a Comment

– The Restaurant-

Texas Chicken®, a globally recognized brand, has opened its first restaurant on 31st January 2013 in Malaysia. Texas Chicken®’s local franchise partner, Etika International Holdings, plans to open 80 Texas Chicken® restaurants nationwide in the next 10 years.

-Dato’ Jaya JB Tan, Chairman of Etika International Holdings, giving his opening speech at the launch of Texas Chicken Malaysia-

The first Texas Chicken® restaurant will be located at AEON Bukit Tinggi Shopping Centre, with a seating capacity of approximately 70 guests. The restaurant is fitted with state-of-the-art kitchen equipment and a new digital menu board display system to enhance the in-restaurant experience of Texas Chicken® guests.

-Mr. Jim Hyatt, CEO of Texas Chicken-

“As our Texas Chicken® brand continues its global expansion, we’re proud to work with and attract the best franchisees all over the world,” said Jim Hyatt, Texas Chicken®Chief Executive Officer. “I am pleased to welcome and celebrate Dato’ Jaya and his team at Etika International Holdings as they open their first Texas Chicken®. And, we’re excited to introduce the great taste of Texas Chicken® to consumers in this beautiful country of Malaysia.”

Today’s launch celebrates two paramount occasions – Etika Group’s strategic collaboration with one of the world’s biggest and most renowned chicken restaurant chains, Texas Chicken® and the first outlet in Malaysia which will bring you the most authentic and freshest fried chicken.

“We are optimally poised to introduce Malaysians to the best cuisine from Southern USA while making a big stride into the local market. Fried chicken lovers will be delighted as their taste buds and palates will be treated to a gastronomic adventure from Texas Chicken®,” said Dato’ Jaya J B Tan, Chairman of Etika Group.

-Texas Chicken Original & Spicy-
– The tender and juicy chicken meat-

Texas Chicken® differentiates from its competitors in the care and attention given to ingredient sourcing, quality control and preparation of fresh food:-

1. Direct imports from USA suppliers – Spices and seasoning for Texas’ great tasting chicken, and ingredients for the signature sides (i.e. Honey-butter Biscuits) are imported directly from USA. Thus, ensuring that guests who visit Texas Malaysia restaurants enjoy the same great taste created 60 years ago by the founder – Mr. George W. Church Sr.

2. Fresh Chicken, Fresh Preparation – To guarantee the delectable, refreshing taste only available from using the freshest ingredients, the Original and Spicy Chicken are made with chicken which is freshly procured from local farms. All day long, Texas Chicken®’s cooks marinate and prepare fresh batches of chicken in the restaurants.

– The Tenders-

3. Truly Juicy & Crunchy Chicken – A result of Texas Chicken®’s exclusive cooking technique that merges the art and science of creating mouth-watering chicken, and delivered to guests in every Texas Chicken® restaurant through stringent training and QA programs.

-Tex Wrap-

4. Big Pieces, Greater Value – With Texas Chicken®’s signature 8-piece cut, Malaysia guests can now enjoy bigger, more sumptuous chicken portions at greater value.

5. Signature Spicy Taste (For Spicy Chicken Only) – Made from a proprietary recipe which includes a perfect blend of 5 types of Chili Peppers, each piece of Spicy Chicken is marinated overnight and freshly hand-breaded and battered in restaurants. Thus, providing consumers with a well-rounded, tingling spicy taste that is enjoyed in every bite.
