CHEF RECOMENDATION AT EYUZU, EASTIN PJ

November 19, 2012 by StrawberrY Gal

– The Exterior-

Eyuzu is one of the hidden gem which is well located at the Eastin Hotel in PJ. The restaurant is well decorated with the beautufyl Japanese ornaments and full with the warm welcome feelings when we had walk in to the restaurant. Taking after the name of Japan’s rare and expensive fruit of mysterious provenance – /yuzu – /Eyuzu at the Eastin Hotel represents authenticity and exquisiteness. Recently awarded “*Best Asian Cuisines Restaurant*” and “*Best Asian Cuisine Chef*” by the Hospitality Asia Platinum Awards 2005/2006, you will find haute cuisine such as sizzling teppanyaki, sukiyaki, crispy tender tempura and sumptuous sashimi here.

– The Interior-

The restaurant gives us a simple and yet a stylish environment where they have the live teppanyaki counter as well as sushi counter as well.

– Sashimi and Maki Sushi-

– Sashimi and Maki Sushi-

– Sashimi and Maki Sushi-

This round, we savor the delights with their ala-carte menu which is the chef’s recommendation to us. We started off with having the Sashimi and Maki Sushi where the delights are being served at our plate. The delightful fresh assorted raw fish from magoro/tuna, salamon, sea bass and sulf clamp is never to say is enough with us. The sashimi is having the succulent flesh and it is well accompanied with the Eyuzu Maki which is the chef’s signature soft shell crab sushi.
Price start from RM95++ for sashimi and RM40++ for Eyuzu Maki

– Cawan mushi-

– Cawan mushi-

We have the cawan mushi next which is the steamed egg custard. I love the savory taste of the classic steamed egg custard which is silky. Each spoonful of it is very fragrant in flavour and full with chunks of meat and mushrooms.
Price:RM13++ per cup

– Shake Kabuto Jiru-

– Shake Kabuto Jiru-

Shake Kabuto Jiru is one of the amazing soup which warmth my tummy and delicious. The bowl of soup is bursting with salmon meats as well as vegetables. The soup is amazingly made which is where there is a nice pungent smell of the miso soup as well as the tender and juicy salmon meat.
Price: RM 26++ per Bowl

Another favorite delights is the tempura. This is where the chunks of vegetables and prawns are being battered and deep fried with the pipping hot oil. The delights gives me a crispy taste of vegetables and the overall of it is sinfully good.
Price starts from RM46++ per serving for Ebi Tempure (Prawns), RM30++ per serving for Kisu Tempura (Silver Whiting) and RM20++ per serving for Yasai Tempura (Assorted Vegetables)

The fish (Unagi Kabayaki/Saba Shioyaki) is a remarkable highlights of the night. Both of it are very attractive and well presented. The Saba Shioyaki which is where the grilled mackerel with salt seasoning and it is perfectly flavored and juicy. As for the Unagi Kabayaki is another item which is one of the best I had tasted, The unagi is soft and juicy and it is tantalizing as well.
Price starts from RM55++ for Unagi Kabayaki per serving and RM30++ for Saba Shioyaki per serving

The Trio is being served beautifully which is the Grilled Beef Roll with Enoki Mushroom, White Tuna and Mix Mushroom in Garlic-Butter Sauce.

We go next to the Teppanyaki meals with the Grilled Beef Roll with Enoki Mushroom. The brownish flesh with the enoki mushroom in between is simply lovely. It is a great one to try of with the juicy meat and the fragrance of garlic on top of it.
Price: RM RM 48++

Next is the White Tuna where It is well grilled till perfection and well flavored with the garlic butter sauce. The white tuna meat is soft and melts in the mouth. It would not be enough for me though.
Price:RM 55++

The Mix Mushroom in Garlic-Butter Sauce giving me a great experience of delighting and savory mushroom taste and it is well presented.

– Okonomiyaki-

– A slice of Okonomiyaki-
Okonomiyaki is the Japanese Pancake which is the all time favorites for Japanese. The pancake is well served with the thick and the tasty chunks of chicken meat/seafood. It is simply good and delicious too. The portion is lovely to share with friends too.
Price starts from RM20++ per portion per serving

We completed our meal with the sweet indulgence which is the Green Tea Ice Cream with Red Bean Paste. The green tea flavors is really classic and the texture is smooth and flavorsome. It is then topped with the red bean paste which is makes the delights even perfect.
Price starts from RM12++ per serving
