A long waited dine in Betty’s Midwest Kitchen

May 13, 2010 By StrawberrY Gal - Food Review 1 Comment

When you think of American cuisine, greasy and sloppy fast food comes to mind. But here at Betty’s Midwest Kitchen, they serve nothing but clean. The business is so good where we basically need to wait for nearly and hour plus to dine in the restaurant. Wow.. that’s really a long wait. I am thinking if next time to come should I book in advance ??

The decor of the restaurant is simply plain and nice. The wall on the right hand side is adorned with memorabilia hand carried back from the Midwest region which consists of states like Kansas, Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, North and South Dakota, Nebraska, and Illinois; while the wall on the left side is filled with a variety of piggie pictures. “It’s a subtle way of telling non-pork eating customers that we’re a oinky restaurant,”

So, we had an order now. As for a starter, we ordered the “ Pig On the Blanket” for a try. The name was really so sweet and wondering what it means.. The taste is simply amazing and a definate a thumbs up on this. When it was served, the bacon smelled so great.Once I had a bite on it, I felt the skin cracked and followed by the soft-densed meat, and the smell of cooked bacon immediately invades and occupies your mouth. Another nice one.

Bacon Tomato Spagethi is one of our order. The tomato sauce which the bacon added on it well cooked. The taste is simply a nice and delighting one to have. The meal is not too sour and bacon was cooked in perfect tempreature making it a perfect combination.

The country fried chicken is simply nice. The fried chicken is crispy and served hot and delighting. The hot crispy drumstick melts my mouth and indulging into my taste buds. The delighting meal with comes together with the yummy mash potato is making it a perfect and delighting match. One of my favorites in the shop.

Pan Fried Pork Chop w Orange Cream – A Slow pan fried juicy pork chops served with creamy zesty orange sauce. The parts where they use are simply a lean one and it is simply delighting when it is cooked the right temperature and make it a delighting. The orange sauce is simply nice with the citrus flavor and the bitter sweet of it is lingering in the mouth of mine after a few bites.

Roasted pork chop with apple is one of the famous delighting choice where an oven baked pork chop with caramelized apple served with mash potatoes, peas and onion relish. The apple taste which is absorb is not bad. The overall taste is still not really special.

Butter & bread Pudding with Vanilla Ice Cream, the dessert which is the love of our team. A superb dessert is where we really enjoyed them so much. The Butter & bread Pudding is nice and the flavor blends intimately well with vanilla ice cream.

Butter & bread Pudding with Vanilla Ice Cream:3/5
Pan Fried Pork Chop w Orange Cream: 2/5
Roasted pork chop with apple: 4/5
Bacon Tomato Spagethi: 4/5

Good thing they're not skimping on the portion, nor quality of the food.
    And prices reasonable as well.
