Buffet Time in Jogoya, Star Hill.

April 14, 2010 by StrawberrY Gal

Since its opening in January 2006, Jogoya’s flagship Japanese buffet restaurant on the Relish Floor of Starhill Gallery, Kuala Lumpur has attracted many of food bloggers and more. I had missed them and did not went for it since i am not in KL.

There were sushi, raw food, cooked food, soup, tea, deserts, ice creams, fruits, etc. They have a special service which makes them from most of the buffet restaurant out there. Which is, every table will have a few clips, then you talk a walk in search of the food you want and place it in a bowl. Every few minutes, your clips will be taken and the chef will cook that food for you, then it will be served to your table.

This time, me and dear went for the Jogoya since i am on leave that day. We went there about 6 pm. Em.. HSBC Card holder are entitled for a buy one free one promo.. Oh Yeah!! I am one of it.. Now i can save RM 88 for another person. Since i am first time here, the waitress took us round the restaurant and explain and recomend us the food around. Here I see- chinese, japanese, dim sum.. and more more more..

So, we went for our try, What we had.. em.. no pictures allow on the food on the counter!! so we din snap on that but we snap on the food we eat and took. There is shabu shabu but we did not get the order.

Round 1 coming: We took some of the sushi and more on those cooked food. Em.. we took sushi.. and those tempura. Yummy Yummy.

Second Round: Here comes the chinese division- fried rice, chicken, otak otak crab, teriyaki chicken, prawns and sea shells

3rd Round: Coming now the raw stuff. Since i don’t love those oysters, we din took them. Dear took some raw food like prawns, sashimi and others. We also go for the california rolls as well.

4th round: I am starving for ice cream – Haagen Dasz or New Zealand ice cream. My favorite Haagen Dasz and is time for ice cream. I went for few rounds of ice cream which is about 6-8 scoops of ice creams. I also took some desserts like Tiramisu cakes and little cute pudding and more.

Our meal ended and we had a heavy meal. Is time to get into track for slim down. Else.. i am growing fat fat again
