Yuen Kee (源记茶餐室) at Bentong s one of the famous eatery place in the town. Located near the wet market, the eatery has already crowded when we arrived at 9 am.
The famous stall in Yuen Kee is Hooi Kee Wan Tan Mee (开记云吞面). This wan tan mee (RM 4.50) stall is very popular with locals and visitors from out of town. We made an order of the wantan mee itself and it is served around 10 minutes after we had made the order.
It is rather disappointing from our last visit there 5 years ago. The noodles remains springy as it is but the alkaline taste is there. The portion is pretty generous too.
