URBAN RESTAURANT @ ISTANA HOTEL KUALA LUMPUR

Urban Restaurant in Istana Hotel brings you with their Executive Set Lunches which is indeed worth to visit. It is perhaps my first time coming here for their review and stepping into the restaurant brings you with the relaxing ambience with the spacious sitting place. They have round tables, long tables and even huge tables which are certainly not only for cater for groups but intimate dining too.

The Executive Set Lunch Menu in Urban features western fares where it is priced at RM 50 nett complete with 3-course luchh which is available from Mondays to Fridays, from 12.00pm till 2.30pm. Diners get to choose 1 item each from the special menu listing Appetizers, Main Courses and Desserts. There are 3 options from both the appetizer and dessert categories while the main courses featured 5 choices.

Appetizers
URBAN @ HOTEL ISTANA
Caesar Salad served with the Romaine lettuce, parmesan cheese, house-made croutons and caesar dressing. The fresh greenies comes simply refreshing.

Caprese Salad where it is served with the fresh buffalo smoked mozzarella cheese, highland tomatoes, onions, basil, olive powder, pesto, extra virgin oil

Nicoise Salad comes with the salad leaves, black olives, tuna, red onion, green haricot kenya beans, anchovies, potatoes, boiled egg, nicoise dressing.

MAIN COURSES:

Ballotine of Chicken & Truffle
The decent portion of the bollatine of chicken and truffle is served with the mushroom puree, asparagus, pommes mouseline, golden raisins and morel jus.

Thread Fillet
The fresh cut of fish pan fried till perfection with the flaky texture and served with the kenya beans, le puy lentil, crabmeat beignets, celeriac puree, Chardonnay orange butter.

Spicy Chilli Prawns Spaghetti
Cooked al-dente, the spaghetti is being tossed with the fresh prawns, tomatoes, bird’s eye chillies, garlic, parsley and olive oil. Simply good with the kick of spiciness with it.

Roasted Mediterranean Vegetables Lasagna
For those who love some creamy sensation, opt for the Roasted Mediterranean Vegetables Lasagna where it is served with the fresh tomato, sweet peppers, courgette, olives, eggplant, fresh mozzarella capers, olive oil and fresh herbs

Classical Beef Burger
Big eaters can have the huge portion of the beef burger. It is indeed a huge portion where the burger comes with the 100% Australian Angus Beef, fresh tomatoes, lettuce, onion rings, pickled gherkins, mustard relish and cheddar cheese.
