TATSU IMPORTS FRESH FROM THE COASTAL REEFS OF JAPAN, LIVE ABALONE

Authentic Japanese restaurant, Tatsu Japanese Cuisine once again raises the bar in its commitment to provide fresh seasonal and live premium ingredients to food connoisseurs. Fresh from the coastal reefs of Japan, Executive Japanese Chef Yanagida is enhances the dining experience to new heights by featuring awabi, live abalone in a medley of dishes for its August promotion available from 1 to 31.

Look forward to a luxury treat of rare gourmet morsel; the natural sweetness reign in the tender flesh of live abalone leaving any epicurean to crave for more. This awabi delicacy can be savoured in many ways, indulge in live abalone handpicked and carefully curated by Chef Yanagida to ensure the optimum opulence is served.

Start of with a serving of sashimi abalone, the al dente textures of the raw abalone is succulent and sweet. Next, continue onto richer flavours such as teppanyaki with abalone or abalone teriyaki. For a touch of simplicity, steamed abalone with ponzu sauce is the choice to taste its natural freshness and sweetness of the flesh; other renditions to enhance the premium taste include grilled abalone with soy bean sauce as well as tempura abalone.

Chef Yanagida prides on his restaurant’s commitment to offer the best seasonal produce cooked in a variety of ways, “Continue to look out for Tatsu, we will continue to offer more seasonal produce and live ingredients.” Live abalone promotion at Tatsu Japanese Cuisine is available from August 1 to 31 for lunch and dinner priced from RM300++ per portion onwards.

Located at level 1 of the InterContinental Kuala Lumpur, Tatsu is a premier, upscale Japanese restaurant. Deriving its name from the word “Tatsu-jin” meaning master or expert, Tatsu brings a sophisticated twist to the traditional dining experience as it combines a subtle blend of Japanese aesthetics with contemporary yet minimalist design.  Helmed by award-winning Executive Japanese Chef, Tetsuya Yanagida, Tatsu has a capacity of 147 seats, with five choices of dining seating styles from the sushi bar, a teppanyaki room, private dining rooms, public dining area to a cozy lounge dining area.
