Sai Kee Restaurant @ Sunway Velocity: Authentic Home Cuisine Since 1950

June 8, 2020 by StrawberrY Gal

With over 65 years of history, Sai Kee Restaurant brings you with the authentic home cook delights. The restaurant started from Petaling Street had finally open their outlets in Sunway Velocity. Sai Kee Restaurant now brings you with the delectable home cooking to your doorsteps or you can dine with comfort now at their outlet in Sunway Velocity. The brand spans 3 generations, from grandfather, father and now follow by the son.

Braised Fish with Bean Curd in Bean Sauce  (RM 49.90)

And this time,  we tried some of their signature food which is must have whenever you are dining in Sai Kee. One of the musts is the Braised Fish with Bean Curd in Bean Sauce. One can enjoy the awesomely prepared braised fish which comes simply aromatic and then it is topped with the bean curd with the Bean Sauce in it. The Kurau Fish which is used in the dish comes fresh.

Thai Style Fried Fish (RM 34.90)

One can enjoy the homey taste of the Thai Style Fried Fish. The Siakap fish is beautifully deep fried till perfection leaving you with the crispy bites and then topped with the thinly sliced cucumber, onions and my favourite Thai Style Sauce. It brings you with the sweet and sourish blend with the very light kick of spiciness.

Saute Prawn with Eggplant in Belachan Sauce (RM 30.90)

You can also enjoy this beautifully sauted dish where you can have the fresh prawns which is stir fried together with the egg plant and belachan sauce. Nicely done with the fragrance of belachan in it. Yummz!

Saute Roasted Pork with Vegetables (RM 24.90)

This dish reminds me of my grandmother cooking during my younger days. The roasted pork is well saute with the long beans.Even though is not something unique but the dish reminds me of the old memories of my grandmother cooking..

For those who are looking for some homey dish to go for, Sai Kee is definitely the outlet to visit. And in here, you will definitely taste the homey dishes that often we had during our younger days.
