PARADISE DYNASTY @ BANGSAR VILLAGE

September 5, 2014 by StrawberrY Gal

After the success of their opening of the first outlet in Paradigm Mall, they had opened their second outlet in Bangsar Village. The outlet is cozier and family feel to me when entered in to them compared to their first outlet which is extravaganza- with the huge Buddha statue in the restaurant itself. With the beautiful interior, exclusive table ware, Paradise Dynasty is a place to visit for a decent meal with family and friends.

A must to have in Paradise Dynasty is their signature Rainbow Xiao Long Ba (RM 25.80). Not coloring but each color is speacially done with the different ingridients with it. We started our meal with the Xiao Long Bao. The Xiao Long Bao is indeed simply special where it comes with different eight different steamed dumpling which is different coloured skin and different flavored soup stuffed within. Original, foie gras, black truffle, crab roe, cheese, ginger, garlic and spicy Szechuan is the varieties of the Xiao Long Bao is available there. There is a procedure to enjoy the xiao long bao where you taste original, ginseng, foie gras, truffle, chessy, crab roe, garlic and finally szechuan.

The 8 flavours dissected:
1. Original –Where it is really filling with the fresh pork in the soup brooth
2. Ginseng/green – Which appears to be filling with the herbal and ginseng which both of the meat and gingeseng complements well together.
3. Foie Gras/brown – It is indeed a luxury dim sum which is well made and the taste is simpl good as well.
4. Black Truffle/black – The dim sum does have a nice and plush aroma and the delighting taste of the black truffle in it.
5. Cheese/yellow
6. Crab Roe/orange – The crab roe is indeed a good one where it is well made and the taste Is being infused well with the pork and delicated taste of the crab roe.
7. Garlic/grey – The taste is simply fragrant and it has the slight garlic taste with it
8. Szechuan/pink – It is indeed a place which comes with a slightly spicy and there is a touch of chili oil and the Szechuan peppercorn.

The delicious done La Mian comes with the complete fragrance and the noodles is freshly made in the restaurant and I would give a two thumbs up on it. I love the add-on of the fragrance onion oil that is mixed in the noodles and every mouthful is simply divine.

As for the Scrambled Egg White with Fish and Dried Scallop (RM 20.90); it is simply an exciting dish to look forward to try. The dish with the legend behind where the Empress Dowager Cixi demanded for crabs during off season, one of the imperial chef came up with this dish of imitating crab meat using egg white and scallops. It is indeed what we had and this dish had also captured my heart.

The diced chicken is being well marinated and it is then being stir fried together with the hint of their signature Sze Chuan sauce as well as chilly ol and peppercorn n it. Bring a bursting sensation and yet with the kick of spiciness in it.

Heading for some seafood sensation, the Crisp-Fried Crystal Prawns with Salted Egg Yolk (RM 35.00) is something to look for in Paradise Dynasty. The de-shelled prawns well coated with the Salted Egg Yolk and being stir fried till golden yellow is sinfully addictive. The Crystal Prawns comes fresh with the crispy taste and the every mouthful is coated with the fragrance of the salted egg yolk.

Crisp-Fried Crystal Prawns in Fruit Salad Sauce(RM 35.00) is kinda similar to the Crisp-Fried Crystal Prawns with Salted Egg Yolk but the style comes slightly different. The prawns is so succulent and it is dashed with the creamy fruit salad sauce with it. Nice one.

Next we had the Steam Minced Pork with Salted Egg and Water Chestnut. ( RM 19.90). The homey dish; I love the most here. The pork is hand chooped and pounded till smooth texture with the added water chessnut in the meat. It is topped with spring onion, salted egg yolk and soy sauce. Well, with this dish alone; I can complete my meal so easily and would love to have additional rice to go with it.

Next is the Steamed Pomfret Fish with Homemade Garlic Chili (Spicy)(RM 129.00). The fresh pomfret is well served with the homemade garlic chili is double thumbs up.
