Paradigm Mall Petaling Jaya Launches Riang Ria Retro Raya Campaign

March 26, 2024 by StrawberrY Gal

Paradigm Mall Petaling Jaya, one of the malls under the management of WCT Malls Management Sdn Bhd, is celebrating Hari Raya with a touch of nostalgia in conjunction with its “Riang Ria Retro Raya” campaign, evoking memories of the vibrant eras of 1960s-1990s in urban Malaysia.

To mark the launch of “Riang Ria Retro Raya”, the family-friendly mall hosted a fun-filled afternoon for guests from the Nur Hikmah Orphanage and Single Mothers Association. During the event, 30 guests from the home were feted to an engaging traditional dance performance and an interactive workshop of crafting Felt Raya Packets.

Penny Yaw, General Manager of Paradigm Mall Petaling Jaya, said: “As a community mall, we aim to cultivate a sense of belonging and community spirit, especially among the underprivileged, embodying the true essence of Ramadan through acts of giving and compassion. With this mission at heart, we are honoured to be able to extend our hospitality and host the underprivileged kids and mothers of Nur Hikmah at our mall during this holy month of Ramadan, hoping to make a positive impact on these individuals through our resources.”

The highlight of the event was a special Iftar feast sponsored by Wood & Grill by Mohd Chan at Level G of Paradigm Mall Petaling Jaya. In embracing the spirit of giving, Paradigm Mall Petaling Jaya also presented the Nur Hikmah guests with “duit raya”, symbolising blessings and good wishes for the Hari Raya celebration.

The “Riang Ria Retro Raya” campaign running from 16 March 2024 to 21 April 2024 will feature a diverse range of activities. Among notable performances to relive nostalgic Raya experiences when one visits the mall, starting from the weekend of 23 March up till 21 April 2024, are the Memory Raya Dance, Retro Raya Dance, and the Kompang Adik Beradik. While enjoying the performances, seize the opportunity to meet and greet the Ana Muslim mascot who will be making her rounds around the mall on selected days and weekends throughout the campaign period.

Additionally, parents seeking a unique experience for their children can sign them up for the Raya Packet Costume and Retro Talent contests happening on 31st March and 7 April 2024 respectively, bringing home attractive prizes worth up to RM1,050.00.

Separately, shoppers who are WCT Buddy members can also look forward to limited-edition festive redemptions, such as wireless Bluetooth speakers, Raya packets, and Retro Vinyl coasters upon a purchase at the mall. For Buddy members, these redemptions are available with a minimum purchase of RM150.00, RM250.00, and RM350.00 in a maximum of two receipts, respectively. Non-Buddy members are eligible for redemptions with purchases worth RM250.00 onwards in a maximum of two receipts.

Furthermore, shoppers are also invited to participate in a Weekday Lucky Draw that offers a chance to win prizes worth a total of RM50,000 if they shop at Paradigm Mall Petaling Jaya from Monday to Friday. As a gesture of community support, the mall is offering complimentary parking for up to 2 hours on weekdays (between 4pm to 8pm) until 12 April 2024.

While expressing the Management’s appreciation to all event partners, sponsors, and media representatives for their contribution in making the Retro Raya campaign a resounding success, Yaw affirmed the mall’s ongoing dedication to curating compelling promotions and campaigns for the community. “Paradigm Mall PJ will continue to enhance its Advertising and Promotions initiatives to offer a unique shopper experience and foster a sense of belonging among patrons, as we endeavor to remain a vibrant hub for all to gather and create cherished memories.”
