DUMPLING FESTIVAL (DUAN WU JIE) AT HUA TING RESTAURANT

May 26, 2015 by StrawberrY Gal

Hua Ting’s award-winning Masterchef Lap Fai has outdone himself once again with two new rice dumpling creations for us to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival.  Uphold the long held Chinese tradition of enjoying deliciously wrapped rice dumplings, available at Hua Ting Restaurant for both dine-in and takeaway from 30 May to 20 June 2015!

This year’s new creation of Rice Dumpling stuffed with Stewed Pork Soft Bone and Black Garlic Paste 黑蒜酱猪软骨炒米粽 ($13.80) is a delightful mix of chestnuts, tender pork belly ribs and black garlic paste to add a subtle fragrance to the sticky glutinous rice. A harmonious blend of flavours and tastes in a savoury morsel!

For the health conscious, you’ll be pleased to discover Brown Rice Dumpling with Wild Mushrooms and Black Truffle Paste 黑松露酱野菌糙米粽 ($12.80). Long famed for its nutritional benefits, brown rice is perfectly paired with button mushrooms, straw mushrooms, Chinese black mushrooms and black truffle paste to add a modern and delicious touch to the otherwise traditional vegetarian rice dumpling!

Hua Ting’s signature Rice Dumpling with Roasted Meat in Hong Kong style 香港裹蒸粽 ($22.80) tops the choice of our regulars every year. This rectangular pillow shaped dumpling is packed with freshly roasted duck and pork, dried scallops, mushrooms, salted egg yolk, fragrant chestnuts and dried lotus seeds.

With the perfect balance of healthy and savoury dumplings, Hua Ting’s Rice Dumpling Gift Set 超值礼盒 makes for a gift suitable for families, friends and business associates!  Each set is priced at $58 per box and contains:
