Supper @ Bee Hooi Coffee Shop, Penang

March 7, 2010 by StrawberrY Gal

Bee Hooi coffeeshop is located along Jalan Burmah, next to EON bank. It is right across Bellisa Row. Sometimes we go there for dinner when we really do not know where to eat. Last time, i usually go to Bee Hooi for the authentic laksa and the Kerabu Bihun as well as their morning economy rice which is really nice and recommended.

Penang Asam Laksa and Popiah is one of the famous one here which serves a nice and delighting Penang food. The stall usually open quite late, which is about 8 pm but it will finish by 10 pm most of the time. The stall here is serving a delighting asam laksa and popiah which is a MUST for me whenever i am in Penang

The Asam Laksa here, you can find a lot of fishes inside and is not too soury. The taste of it is kinda delighting and nice.

As for the popiah is my favorite as they put small little prawns inside and it is not that dry as well. A delighting one to go for a try.

This time, dad also ordered one of the lo bak. The lo bak is quite nice but not as nice at Kek Seng if to compare. It is still a nice and delighting one to try as well.

Lastly, this is really a MUST there. The Or Chien ( Fried Oyster) which is one of the nicest one.The fried oyster is simply delighting as well as with the big fat oyster. It is not too starchy or too dry. very nice combination with a delighting taste. Thumbs Up!!

Taste:
Penang Asam Laksa: 5/5
Popiah: 5/5
Lo Bak: 3/5
Or Chien (Fried Oyster): 5/5

Price:
Penang Asam Laksa: RM2.50
Popiah: RM 1.60
Lo Bak: RM 10
Or Chien (Fried Oyster): RM 8

Address:
BEE HOOI COFFEE SHOP
( opposite Belissa Row)
