Meet FURAYCO: A New Malaysian Food Brand Bringing the Taste of Home to Everyday Meals

October 2, 2026 by StrawberrY Gal

Looking for convenient food that still brings a little taste of home to the table? Meet  FURAYCO, a new Malaysian food brand founded by Shafura Salam.  FURAYCO recently made its official debut at the MARA Nismilan Showcase, where the  brand was officially launched by Pengarah Unit Perancang Ekonomi Negeri (UPEN) Negeri  Sembilan, YBhg Dr Arwan Sabri.

The showcase brought together local entrepreneurs, businesses and visitors, giving  FURAYCO the opportunity to introduce its products and connect with consumers and  potential business partners.

“Chef Cuti, Furayco On Duty!”

For FURAYCO founder Shafura Salam, the idea behind the brand is simple: good food  should be convenient, but it should still bring the kind of taste and satisfaction we associate  with food at home.

FURAYCO’s range brings together familiar favourites with flavours designed for today’s busy  lifestyles, giving consumers convenient options without taking away the enjoyment of a good  meal.

And there is already quite a variety to discover.  From Rich Curries to Sweet & Spicy Favourites

Among the products showcased were FURAYCO’s Golden Sweet Potato, Lamb Curry,  Beef Butter Chilli Thai and Chicken Sweet & Spicy.

The Lamb Curry brings a rich and aromatic profile, while the Beef Butter Chilli Thai takes  things up a notch with its bold, buttery and spicy flavour.

For those who enjoy a little sweetness with their heat, the Chicken Sweet & Spicy combines  the two for a flavour-packed option.

There is also the FURAYCO Golden Sweet Potato, a naturally sweet snack option made with  no added sugar and no preservatives, suitable for wellness enthusiasts.  Together, the range reflects FURAYCO’s approach to creating food that can fit easily into  modern routines while still offering flavours that feel familiar.

The Story Behind FURAYCO

For Shafura, FURAYCO is more than simply putting food products on the shelf. The brand  represents an opportunity to turn familiar food experiences into convenient options for  consumers who may not always have the time to prepare meals from scratch.

“FURAYCO was created from a simple idea: that good food should be convenient without losing the taste and feeling that remind us of home. This launch is an important first step as  we introduce the brand to a wider audience,” said Shafura.

The MARA Nismilan Showcase also allowed Shafura and her team to meet consumers  directly, hear their reactions and introduce the products to a wider audience.

For a new food brand, that interaction is particularly valuable. It provides an opportunity to  understand what consumers enjoy while building relationships with retailers, distributors and  potential business partners.

What’s Next for FURAYCO?

With its official launch now underway, FURAYCO is looking to build its presence through  retail, distribution and strategic partnerships, while continuing to develop products inspired by  flavours Malaysians enjoy.

The brand’s participation in the MARA Nismilan Showcase marks an early step in that  journey, bringing FURAYCO’s products and founder story to a wider audience.

For Shafura, the ambition is straightforward: to build a Malaysian food brand that people can  enjoy as part of their everyday lives.

And with Lamb Curry, Beef Butter Chilli Thai, Chicken Sweet & Spicy and Golden Sweet  Potato already on the menu, FURAYCO certainly has a few flavours to get the conversation  started.
