Emirates brings next-generation A350 experience to Kuala Lumpur

August 27, 2026 by StrawberrY Gal

Emirates will deploy its new A350 aircraft on flights EK344/345 between Dubai and Kuala Lumpur from 1 September 2026. This will expand the airline’s Premium Economy offering in the Malaysian capital to 52 seats daily, with the A350 joining the airline’s retrofitted Boeing 777 operating on EK346/347.

Saeed Mubarak, Emirates Country Manager in Malaysia, said: “This year marks three decades since Emirates launched services to Kuala Lumpur. For 30 years, we have continued to strengthen our presence in Malaysia and invest in our products, ensuring our customers enjoy an exceptional travel experience at every stage of their journey.

“Following the successful introduction of our retrofitted Boeing 777 with Premium Economy on EK346/347, we’re delighted to bring our new-generation A350 to Kuala Lumpur. Together with our A380 operations, this means customers travelling from Malaysia will have access to all three of our flagship aircraft types, each offering a distinctive Emirates experience.

“We’re confident that our A350 will be warmly welcomed by our customers in Malaysia, and we look forward to giving more travellers the opportunity to experience our latest and best-in-class products.”

A new generation of flying

Emirates’ A350 offers customers 32 lie-flat Business Class seats in a 1-2-1 layout, 28 Premium Economy seats, and 238 Economy Class seats*, combining contemporary interiors with enhanced comfort and technology.

Business Class customers will enjoy lie-flat seats in a 1-2-1 configuration, together with wireless charging. Across the premium cabins, electronic window blinds feature the Emirates Ghaf tree motif when closed, while customers can access digital inflight menus on ice screens.

The latest generation of Emirates’ ice inflight entertainment system features 4K and 4K HDR displays on ultra-responsive touchscreens, delivering an enhanced cinematic experience onboard. Customers can also enjoy high-performance Wi-Fi powered by ViaSat’s Global Xpress (GX) satellite network, with improved Wireless Access Points designed to provide greater connectivity across the aircraft.

Connecting Malaysia to the world

With the A350 operating between Kuala Lumpur and Dubai, travellers will benefit from a consistent product experience to/ from destinations served by the Emirates A350 via Dubai across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, and the Americas.

Customers departing Kuala Lumpur on EK345 or arriving on EK344 can expect a consistent experience with Emirates’ best-in-class products on flights to more than 20 points across the airline’s global network. This includes cities such as Istanbul, Lyon, Frankfurt, and others.

Customers can book their journeys through www.emirates.com, the Emirates App, Emirates Retail stores, the Emirates contact centre or travel agents.

*Aircraft configuration may change due to operational adjustments.
