Aloft by Marriott Kuala Lumpur celebrates Malaysia’s 69th Merdeka with its Flavours of Malaysia Dinner Buffet at Nook, featuring a vibrant spread inspired by the diverse flavours and traditions of Malaysia.
Merdeka Day Dinner Buffet
Available throughout the month of August, the Flavours of Malaysia Dinner Buffet invites guests to celebrate Merdeka with a vibrant spread showcasing the diverse tastes and culinary heritage of the nation.
Turning up the flavour with tastes from across Malaysia, guests can enjoy local specialties including Nasi Bamboo paired with Acar, Ikan Goreng and Gulai Kambing, alongside Ayam Percik, Ayam Bakar and Kambing Bakar Kuala Besut. Adding to the Merdeka feast, a live noodle station serves freshly prepared Sarawak Laksa and Clear Chicken Soup, which guests can customise to their liking.
The celebration continues with a selection of beloved Malaysian treats, showcasing the country’s rich heritage of traditional desserts and street food favourites. Guests can indulge in Cempedak & Pisang Goreng, served fresh at the live station, as well as the comforting Bubur Sum Sum with Gula Melaka.
For a taste of Malaysia’s colourful kuih tradition, an assortment of Kuih Melayu awaits, featuring Onde-Onde, Putu Bambu, Kuih Pelita and Kuih Lapis. Guests can also cool down with Malaysian Shaved Ice, complete with nostalgic toppings including Chocolate Rice, Rainbow Rice and Grated Cheese.

Available throughout September until 3 October, guests can eat their way across Malaysia, with a vibrant spread of beloved dishes and local specialties waiting to be discovered.
Drawing inspiration from every corner of the country, the buffet brings our chefs’ hometown specialties to life through a unique stall concept, featuring cherished recipes and regional dishes that celebrate the rich diversity of Malaysian cuisine. Guests can savour Ayam Pansuh, Ambuyat, Keropok Lekor and Itik Salai, each offering a distinct taste of the place our chefs call home.
At the live station, guests can enjoy crispy Apam Balik, freshly prepared for a warm and indulgent treat. The feast continues with nostalgic Malaysian desserts, including Bubur Serawa Durian and Cendol, ending the feast on a sweet and nostalgic note.
A Feast of Flavours and Togetherness
Priced at RM158nett per person, guests can enjoy the buffet with the second person receiving 50% off at RM79nett. As an added Merdeka treat, guests born on 31 August can also enjoy the buffet for free. The dining experience is available every Friday and Saturday from 6:30 PM to 10:00 PM, from August through 3 October.
