HUAWEI MATEPAD AIR LAUNCHES AT RM3,999,REDEFINING PC-LIKE AI PRODUCTIVITY WITH ULTRA-THIN DESIGN

August 19, 2026 by StrawberrY Gal

HUAWEI has officially launched the new HUAWEI MatePad Air in Malaysia, introducing its latest tablet designed to meet the demands of modern users. Boasted as an Ultra-thin PC-like AI tablet, the new MatePad Air brings a fresh approach to seamless productivity, intelligent experiences, and everyday versatility.

At just 5.3mm thin and weighing only 509g, the HUAWEI MatePad Air is made to move with you, whether you’re working from your desk, catching up at a café, heading into a meeting or commuting across town. Available in Airy Blue, White, and Sakura Pink, the tablet pairs its minimalist profile with vibrant colour choices that reflect the versatility of the users it is designed for.

Work gets smarter with the HUAWEI MatePad Air and its PC-level WPS Office, now upgraded with WPS AI. Designed to simplify everyday workflows, WPS AI can generate presentation slides, create document drafts, refine writing, summarise lengthy PDFs and analyse spreadsheets, helping users move from ideas to polished output with greater ease and efficiency.

From lectures and last-minute revision to meetings and discussions, HUAWEI Notes helps users spend less time managing information and more time focusing on what matters. AI Speech-to-Text can record and transcribe lectures, meetings and discussions, making it easier to revisit key points and important details. Meanwhile, AI Handwriting Enhancement makes notes clearer and easier to review. Users can also annotate and add remarks to PDF Files, while AI Tutor offers step-by-step explanations across subjects including chemistry, economics, biology, and physics.

The HUAWEI MatePad Air brings content to life on its 12-inch 2.8K Ultra-Clear OLED PaperMatte Display. With a 92% screen-to-body ratio, ultra-narrow 4.69mm bezels and a notch-free FullView design, users get a more immersive view, complemented by up to 1,200 nits peak brightness for vivid and detailed visuals. Its PaperMatte finish further reduces glare and reflections for a comfortable, paper-like viewing experience.

The HUAWEI M-Pencil Pro takes interaction beyond traditional stylus input with intuitive gestures designed for greater control and flexibility. With support for pinch, press and rotate gestures, users can navigate and interact with content more naturally, while its 16,384 pressure sensing levels deliver precise and responsive writing and drawing. The Swipe to Turn Pages feature also makes navigating documents and presentations effortless, while the Air Mouse function allows users to control slides remotely for smoother presentations.

Bringing it all together is the HUAWEI MatePad Air’s massive power, built to keep up from the start of the day to the last task. Powered by the Kirin T93C octa-core chip and supported by up to 8GB of virtual memory, it delivers smooth multitasking, while its 10,100 mAh battery with 66 W HUAWEI SuperCharge keeps users going for longer. Upgraded with advanced AI capabilities to boost your productivity, the HUAWEI MatePad Air is ready to power work, creativity and entertainment wherever the day takes you.

More than a lightweight tablet, the HUAWEI MatePad Air brings together thoughtful design, intelligent features, and a connected ecosystem built for modern lifestyles – helping users move seamlessly between work, creativity, and everyday moments.

Priced at RM3,999, the HUAWEI MatePad Air is now officially available in Malaysia. Customers can enjoy launch benefits worth up to RM4,503, including a RM500 rebate, the HUAWEI Smart Magnetic Keyboard, HUAWEI M-Pencil Pro, HUAWEI Wireless Mouse, AI-Powered WPS Office with 1-year WPS AI Subscription, AI-Powered HUAWEI Notes, and HUAWEI Premium Service.  The HUAWEI MatePad Air will be available at HUAWEI Experience Stores and through HUAWEI’s official online channels, including the HUAWEI Official Website, HUAWEI Official Store on Shopee, HUAWEI Flagship Store on Lazada, and HUAWEI Official TikTok Shop.
