Monster Curry Expands Its Malaysian Footprint with Second Outlet at 1 Utama Shopping Centre

July 6, 2026 by StrawberrY Gal

Monster Curry, award-winning and most beloved Japanese curry chain, is proud to announce the opening of its second Malaysian outlet at 1 Utama Shopping Centre, Petaling Jaya. Building on the success of its debut at The Gardens Mall, Kuala Lumpur in January 2026, the brand continues its growth in Malaysia, bringing its signature bold flavours and generous portions to even more curry lovers across the Klang Valley.

Located at Lot S131, 2nd Floor of 1 Utama, the new outlet marks another significant step in Monster Curry’s expansion in the country, offering diners in Petaling Jaya and beyond the full Monster Curry experience from its signature demi-glace curry sauce to its iconic oversized plates.

“We have been heartened by the overwhelming support from Malaysian diners since our debut at The Gardens Mall earlier this year. Opening our second outlet is the only natural step for us, and we look forward to welcoming even more guests to discover what Monster Curry is all about. Think bold flavours, generous portions, and a dining experience that’s truly larger than life,” said Raymond Ng, Managing Director of EN Group.

Celebrating with a Grand Opening Promotion

To celebrate the new outlet’s opening, Monster Curry is offering a 1-for-1 promotion for four days only, from 8 to 11 July 2026. Guests may choose between any two of Monster Curry’s signature dishes.

The options are either the crowd-favourite Chicken Katsu Curry (RM25.90) – a golden, perfectly breaded chicken cutlet paired with okonomiyaki sauce, or the Chicken Karaage Curry (RM24.90), a classic curry reimagined with Japanese juicy fried chicken thigh topped with mayo, served alongside Monster Curry’s rich, slow-simmered demi-glace sauce. The promotion is valid for dine-in at the 1 Utama outlet only and is not applicable with other promotions and offers.

The Monster Curry Experience

At Monster Curry, size truly matters. Dishes are served on oversized 35cm plates for individual diners and enormous 41cm plates ideal for sharing between two to three people. Every dish features Monster Curry’s homemade demi-glace sauce, simmered with 14 vegetables and spices to deliver a rich, savoury depth that keeps guests coming back for more. Guests may also choose from five spice levels to personalise their experience, ranging from non-spicy to level 5 spiciness.

The menu features an extensive spread including the Super Monster Combo (RM68.90), a larger-than-life platter featuring a full spread of Monster Curry’s most iconic toppings, from tender teppanyaki beef grilled with onions (flavourful yakiniku sauce), fried chicken cutlet (okonomiyaki sauce), fried big fish fillet (mayo), ebi fry (fried breaded shrimp topped with mayo), omelette and flame-torched mozzarella cheese, all served on a gigantic plate designed for sharing especially among groups of friends or families.

Other must-haves on the menu comprise the Curry Ramen series, fusion pasta options, indulgent desserts such as Honey Toasts and Homemade Egg Pudding, as well as mocktails like the Strawberry Lemonade or Yuzu Orange Lemonade for a refreshing taste.

More Than Curry

Beyond its signature curry offerings, the 1 Utama outlet also features Monster Curry’s expanded café menu, offering coffee, Japanese tea, and matcha and houjicha-based drinks, alongside its popular Monster Crepes Lab creations such as the Strawberry Sundae Crepe (RM19.90), Oreo Crunch Crepe (RM17.90), Apple Cinnamon Crepe (RM20.90), and Matcha Mochi Red Bean Crepe (RM22.90). For those on the go, a selection of crepes is also available for takeaway, in addition to mocktails, honey toast, and homemade puddings – rounding out the Monster Curry experience for every craving.
