Tea is something most of us encounter every day—woven into our mornings, shared in conversations, and present in quiet, reflective moments. Yet beneath its familiarity lies a world shaped by origin, seasonality, and centuries of craftsmanship.
This May, CHAGEE Malaysia invites tea lovers to rediscover that world, marking International Tea Day (21 May) with a new release and a series of thoughtfully curated experiences designed to bring people closer to the culture of tea.
A New Blend Inspired by Connection
At the heart of the celebration is the introduction of the BO·YA Jasmine Tie Guan Yin Tea series, launching on 8 May.
The name BO·YA draws from a classical Chinese legend—one that speaks of a rare and profound connection between artist and listener. It is a story of understanding and resonance, a theme that CHAGEE seeks to reflect in every cup of the series.

The new blend opens with a delicate jasmine aroma, gradually unfolding into the distinctive orchid notes of Tie Guan Yin, a prized oolong known for its layered complexity. The result is a tea that feels both gentle and expressive, balancing floral lightness with depth.
Its ingredients are equally considered. The Tie Guan Yin leaves are sourced from the high-altitude tea gardens of Southern Fujian, while the jasmine flowers come from Hengxian in Guangxi, a region globally recognised for its exceptional fragrance and quality.
Beyond the Cup: A Seasonal Collection

Complementing the new tea is a curated selection of tea-inspired merchandise, each piece reflecting the natural elements behind CHAGEE’s blends.
From scented charms to thoughtfully designed tumblers, the collection extends the experience beyond drinking—inviting customers to carry a part of tea culture into their daily lives.
Adding further depth, CHAGEE will also release a special publication dedicated to the heritage and traditions of tea, offering a more reflective exploration of its origins and meaning.
Experiencing Tea Through Craft
For those seeking a more immersive experience, CHAGEE is introducing a series of Tea Blending Workshops beginning 15 May.
Guided by CHAGEE Tea Masters, these sessions offer a closer look at the aromas, techniques, and craftsmanship behind each cup—transforming tea from a routine into an experience of discovery.
The celebration concludes with a free-flow tea tasting event across selected stores on 23 and 24 May, where guests are invited to explore a variety of teas at their own pace.
A Moment to Slow Down
For CHAGEE, International Tea Day is not just about introducing a new product—it is about encouraging a shift in perspective.
“Most people drink tea every day, and that is exactly why it is worth understanding it a little better,” shared a CHAGEE Tea Master. “When you take the time to look closer, you begin to see the depth behind it—the knowledge, the craft, and the connection to nature.”
