Pullman Kuching Introduces “Where Hope Rises” This Ramadhan, Anchoring Community at the Heart of Hospitality

February 24, 2026 by StrawberrY Gal

As the Ramadhan season approaches, Pullman Kuching introduces Where Hope Rises, the hotel’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) umbrella that brings together its community initiatives under one clear, long-term commitment.

Conceived as a guiding framework rather than a one-off campaign, Where Hope Rises reflects Pullman Kuching’s belief that hospitality is, at its core, about people – creating spaces where care, respect, and belonging can flourish alongside the city. It provides a clear reference point for how the hotel approaches community engagement in a more structured and thoughtful way, while remaining rooted in moments that feel genuine and culturally relevant.

“Where Hope Rises is our way of being intentional about what DEI in hospitality should stand for,” said Mr. Sunardi Song, General Manager of Pullman Kuching. “It is about creating spaces where people feel welcomed, respected, and connected – not just during festive seasons, but throughout the year. Ramadhan felt like the right moment to introduce this commitment, because it reminds us that generosity, care, and togetherness are values we share as a community.”

This Ramadhan, the commitment takes shape through Kongsi Kasih Bersama Pullman Kuching, the hotel’s seasonal DEI initiative centred on shared moments with the community. The initiative kicked off this evening in a meaningful event entitled Senja di Puncak Harapan. The community-led event brought together 60 children and teachers from PERYATIM Kuching and representatives from the Penan Women Project (PWP), members of the media and influencers, as well as the hotel’s employees – reinforcing an approach to inclusion that is naturally woven into how the hotel hosts, gathers, and connects people.

Set against the glow of dusk, the Senja di Puncak Harapan event created space for interaction, shared dining, and genuine moments of connection that felt warm and unforced. Guests were also entertained with performances while enjoying selections from the hotel’s upcoming Ramadhan buffet spread.

During the evening, Mr. Song further announced that, in the spirit of giving and community, the hotel will donate RM10 from every Ramadhan buffet sold this year to those in need. The hotel will also showcase the Penan Women Project’s beautifully handwoven bags, allowing guests to support the community directly through their purchases. By embedding community support into its hospitality experiences, the hotel invites guests to be part of a collective effort simply by gathering and dining together.

Throughout the Ramadhan month, guests are invited to gather at Culina for Culina Bazaar Nights, Pullman Kuching’s Ramadhan buffet experience inspired by flavours from across Asia alongside Sarawakian favourites. Designed around warmth, familiarity, and generous sharing, the experience reflects Pullman Kuching’s belief that festive dining is as much about the moments shared as it is about the food itself.

“Inclusive hospitality is not about scale; it is about intention,” he added. “When people from different walks of life can sit at the same table and share a moment together, that is when hospitality truly makes a difference.”

Pullman Kuching’s Ramadhan celebration also reflects the broader spirit of Visit Malaysia 2026, which champions travel experiences rooted in culture, community, and authenticity. As a long-standing hilltop landmark in Kuching, the hotel continues to serve as a place where visitors and locals come together, experiencing Sarawak not through spectacle, but through shared values, local partnerships, and meaningful hospitality moments that feel true to place.

Culina Bazaar Nights will be available throughout the Ramadhan period from 19 February to 20 March 2026, from 6.30pm onwards daily, at Pullman Kuching’s Culina Pan-Asian Restaurant. Inspired by an open, marketplace-style food bazaar, the buffet features an extensive spread spanning Asian favourites and local highlights from Signature Kambing Golek and Bakar selections, to sweet Ramadhan comforts such as ABC, cendol and lemang. The buffet is priced at RM238+ for adult, RM190+ for Senior and RM119+ for Child.

As Ramadhan approaches, guests are warmly invited to join Pullman Kuching “Where Hope Rises” – sharing meals, moments and a season shaped by giving back to the community. For reservations and enquiries, please contact 016-879 6105 or 082-222 888, or visit www.pullmankuching.com/special-offers. Reservations are recommended and subject to availability.
