Secret Recipe Teams Up with ZUS COFFEE for a Match Made in Malaysi

September 16, 2025 by StrawberrY Gal

When it’s too hard to choose between chocolate or coffee… Why not get both at the same time? Two homegrown icons, Secret Recipe and ZUS COFFEE, have teamed up to bring the ultimate dessert collaboration that Malaysians won’t want to miss. The ZUS Indulgence Cake, combining both cake and coffee in a single bite, is a decadent new creation that proves some things are indeed better together!

A fresh take on Secret Recipe’s iconic Chocolate Indulgence®, the new ZUS Indulgence Cake is crafted to delight fans of both chocolate and coffee. This collaboration reimagines indulgence through the distinct identities of two well-loved brands. The dessert combines a moist mocha sponge cake with milk chocolate cream, coffee mousse and coffee whipped cream, topped with chocolate.

“Secret Recipe has always been proud to be a Malaysian staple, and this collaboration with ZUS allows us to showcase the strength of Made-In-Malaysia brands. The ZUS Indulgence Cake offers our customers a dessert that is indulgent, innovative, and proudly homegrown. We hope to inspire Malaysians to continue supporting and celebrating local brands that strive to bring new and exciting experiences to the table,” said Evelyn Lee, Head of Marketing at Secret Recipe.

The ZUS Indulgence Cake also gets an exclusive ZUS-themed packaging that is specially designed to reflect the spirit of the homegrown collaboration. Featuring ZUS Coffee’s iconic blue and the Malaysian flag, the boxes are available for both the whole cake and sliced cakes.

“At ZUS, our mission has always been to make great coffee a necessity in every Malaysian’s day. With the ZUS Indulgence Cake, we’re taking that experience beyond the cup — blending our passion for coffee with Secret Recipe’s mastery of cakes. This collaboration is a true reflection of how local brands can innovate together to bring Malaysians indulgence that feels both familiar and refreshingly new,” said Jennifer Sim, Head of Marketing, ZUS Coffee.

The ZUS Indulgence Cake is priced at RM142 for an 8-inch whole cake or a slice at RM13.50. Launching right before Malaysia Day on 15 September at selected Secret Recipe outlets, the ZUS Indulgence Cake would get a wider rollout across Peninsular Malaysia the following week.
