K Fry Serves Up “Cool-lah Malaysia! Unity on Ice”: A Chilled-Out Merdeka Tribute to Malaysian Flavours, Culture and Togetherness

August 19, 2025 by StrawberrY Gal

This Merdeka season, K Fry Urban Korean (K Fry) is turning up the festive spirit with a new menu inspired by Malaysia’s favourite flavours, refreshed with a unique twist. Say hello to the “Cool-lah Malaysia! Unity on Ice” limited-time menu available from now until 30 September 2025, that blends beloved local tastes and a playful touch of Korean flavours in a chilled celebration of culture, heritage, and flavour.

The “cool” concept comes to life through dishes with icy or chilled elements, perfect for beating the Malaysian heat while giving familiar local inspired flavours an unexpected twist. From the tangy comfort of sweet and sour chicken to the tropical indulgence of mango shake, this collection reimagines iconic favourites with K Fry’s signature flair.

Icy Sweet and Sour Chicken

The Icy Sweet and Sour Chicken pairs crispy boneless Korean style chicken with a vibrant sweet and sour glaze, priced from RM33.80 (with SST and SVC RM39.20). Served over a bed of ice and crowned with juicy mangoes, lychee, and cherry tomatoes, it is a cooling, crunchy, and tropical delight that captures the essence of Malaysia on a plate.

Colours of Gemilang Hwachae (Korean fruit bowl)

A nod to the traditional Korean fruit punch, this colourful dessert celebrates Malaysia’s unity through its vibrant medley of flavours and textures. Sprite-flavoured shaved ice is topped with brown sugar boba, mango balls, watermelon, sago, and butterfly pea jelly. Priced from RM17.90 (with SST and SVC RM20.76), it is a refreshing treat that looks as joyful as a Merdeka Day parade.

Mango Swirl Shake

For mango lovers, the Mango Swirl Shake, priced from RM17.90 (with SST and SVC RM20.76)  is pure indulgence. This rich and creamy shake is blended with luscious mango, swirled with mango sauce, and crowned with a fluffy cloud of whipped cream. One sip and you are instantly transported to a tropical paradise, making it the perfect finale to your meal.

Invite your family, friends, and makan buddies to celebrate Merdeka with a feast that blends creativity, culture, and a little icy fun. Cool-lah Malaysia! Unity on Ice brings together familiar local tastes with playful twists, proving that when different flavours unite, the result is something extraordinary and wonderfully cool.
