Europe’s Most Iconic Desserts Reimagined as Premium Ice Cream with Haagen Dazs New Cities Collection

July 18, 2025 by StrawberrY Gal

Häagen-Dazs is redefining indulgence with the debut of its latest innovation: the Cities Collection, a limited-edition range of European-inspired ice creams that invites Malaysians to travel the continent—one decadent scoop at a time.

Positioned as a “Flavour Passport,” the collection features four distinctive flavours that pay homage to the dessert cultures of Paris, Rome and Madrid. Each pint is designed to transport the senses to a new destination, blending culinary authenticity with premium craftsmanship.

“In just ten minutes—the perfect time to savour a scoop—our customers can journey from a Parisian patisserie to a Roman café or a Madrid plaza,” said Tya Close, Head of Marketing for General Mills Southeast Asia. “The Cities Collection reimagines ice cream as a cultural experience, not just a treat.”

A Taste Tour Across Europe

The Cities Collection includes:

  • Macaron Double Chocolate Ganache (Paris) – A rich chocolate ice cream with swirls of salted dark ganache and chewy chocolate macaron shells.

  • Macaron Strawberry & Raspberry (Paris) – Delicate strawberry ice cream layered with raspberry swirls and almond-based mini macaron pieces.

  • Tiramisu Coffee & Mascarpone (Rome) – Creamy mascarpone ice cream with espresso-soaked sponge cake and cocoa coffee sauce.

  • Churros Cinnamon & Dulce de Leche (Madrid) – Cream-based ice cream laced with cinnamon swirls, caramel sauce, and crunchy churro inclusions.

Available now at major retailers including Jaya Grocer, Lotus’s and AEON for RM38.50 per pint, the new line targets a rising consumer appetite for elevated, experiential desserts. According to Euromonitor International, premium ice cream sales have grown 18% in Southeast Asia, reflecting a shift toward “micro-luxuries” amid the post-pandemic pursuit of self-reward and exploration.

From Free Scoops to European Getaways

To celebrate the launch, Häagen-Dazs Malaysia is also running a Spend and Win contest. Customers who purchase any Cities Collection flavour can stand a chance to win an all-expense-paid European trip for two or exclusive travel merchandise. Entry details can be found at my.haagendazs.club.

In addition, Häagen-Dazs has rolled out a new loyalty program designed to reward regular indulgence. New members can enjoy their first scoop for only RM5, with points accumulated for every ringgit spent.

“With the Cities Collection and our new rewards system, we’re making premium indulgence more rewarding and accessible,” said Close.

Where Ice Cream Meets Imagination

From the romance of a French macaron to the warmth of a Spanish churro, Häagen-Dazs invites Malaysians to experience Europe through a scoop—without leaving home. With rich textures, thoughtful ingredients, and artisanal inspiration, the Cities Collection reflects the brand’s belief that everyday moments deserve extraordinary flavour.

So, the next time wanderlust strikes, ask yourself: Where will your Flavour Passport take you?
