Wong Kee Chicken Rice @ Section 17

September 25, 2024 by StrawberrY Gal

Wong Kee Chicken Rice, now situated in PJ Seksyen 17, has brought its beloved flavors to a more comfortable and modern setting. Previously operating as the busiest stall at Hong Seng Kopitiam, the new location near Seventeen Mall offers patrons a cleaner, more spacious dining environment, making it easier to enjoy one of Petaling Jaya’s most popular chicken rice spots.

The star of the menu is their famous siu yok (roast pork). Priced at RM 30 for the minimum portion, Wong Kee emphasizes generous servings, as they do not offer single-portion plates. Each piece of roast pork is perfectly crisp, with a melt-in-your-mouth texture that has kept customers coming back for years. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, this dish is an essential part of the Wong Kee experience.

Their roast chicken is equally impressive, consistently prepared fresh throughout the day. Each juicy, tender bite reflects the care and precision that goes into crafting this signature dish. The chicken is flavorful, succulent, and perfectly roasted, balancing crisp skin with moist meat. Together with a fragrant serving of rice, it makes for a satisfying meal that delights both new and returning customers.

While Wong Kee has moved to a new location, it retains the same dedication to quality that made it a local favorite at its previous spot. With a more pleasant dining atmosphere and continued emphasis on delicious, well-prepared meals, Wong Kee remains a standout for anyone craving top-tier roast pork and chicken rice in Petaling Jaya.
