Cerruti 1881 Molveno Men Series

August 7, 2023 by StrawberrY Gal

Once again, Cerruti 1881 calls forth the charm factor to bring you a new watch – one that is both technical and masculine. The Molveno is here to excite you with its distinctive outlook and precise engineering.

The Cerruti 1881 Molveno is aptly named after the Italian municipality of Molveno which is located to the northwest of Trento. It is known for its picturesque setting amidst the stunning natural and rugged beauty of the Italian Alps. The watch collection is given this name thanks to its unique masculine styling that is emblematic of Italian design elements filled with distinct personality.

For the moment, the collection is offered in two series that are distinguished primarily by the differences in the dials.

• CIWGQ2224103 and CIWGQ2224104

o Colours – Brown/black and Green/Grey.

o Matching silicone strap provided for extra rugged appeal

and weather-resistance.

• CIWGE0007302 and CIWGE0007305

o Colours – Blue/Silver and Black/Silver.

o Matching stitched and perforated leather strap provided

for a comfortable dressy yet sporty feel.

The durable stainless-steel cases of these watches measure 45.5mm in diameter and have been given a tough ion-plating which exudes a rugged aura.

Apart from the dimensions, the watches also share similar functionalities. Powered by the same accurate Japanese quartz movement, the Molveno tells the conventional time in the centre on the display along with three useful sub-dials that indicate the day, the home time in 24 hours as well as a second-time zone in 24 hours too. Along for the ride is a date aperture at 4 o’clock. The bold indications on the dial highlights all the relevant information at a quick glance.

The case has been given a combination finishings including flat brushed angles and matte surfaces. They highlight the slim dodecagonal bezel from which the watch derives its unique look. Bringing it all together, the prominent pushers and angled crown make it easy to operate the functions of the timepiece. Cerruti 1881 has created the stainless-steel case to withstand up to 50 metres of water depth.

The key difference between the two sets of timepieces from the Molveno collection on offer is the dial of the watch. On the former, there is a sun-burst dial that shimmers at different angles. However, on the latter is a skeletonized dial that offers a peek into the inner components of the watch. Otherwise, the dials have the same outlined

Arabic numerals for every even numbered hour-marker while the remaining baton markers match the central baton hour and minute hands.

The Cerruti 1881 – Molveno Men series
