THE COFFEE BEAN & TEA LEAF® MALAYSIA EXPANDS ITS PRESENCE WITH THE OPENING OF ITS 150TH CAFÉ.

 Having just celebrated its silver jubilee back in September 2022, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® Malaysia steps towards another significant milestone in its 25-year history, with the opening of its 150th café in Malaysia. Located in Sierra Fresco, Puchong, the new café stands as a testament to The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® Malaysia’s continuous dedication to bringing authentic flavors to Malaysians across the country. 

Mohamed Amar Shah, Managing Director of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® Malaysia shared at the opening of the brand’s 150th café, “Ever since we’ve made Malaysia our home with the first-ever The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® café back in 1997, we have continued to uphold our commitment to delivering a unique experience in every cup or on every plate. In turn, we are grateful to have our passion reciprocated by Malaysians, who continue to support us in making our cafés a space of community. The opening of our 150th café is a commitment from us to continue nurturing this relationship with our customers in Malaysia.”

The 2,800-square feet café at Sierra Fresco features a large seating area, including a community table for eight, that can accommodate up to 110 customers and visitors. The 150th café’s modern interior design takes on an open space concept, with arches featured prominently in its architecture. Southern Californian motifs pay tribute to the brand’s roots, while complement the café’s sunshine-like lighting, creating a warm and inviting ambiance.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® Malaysia’s Recipe for Success: A Focus on Innovation.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® has seen exponential growth and expansion over the course of its journey in Malaysia, with 140 cafés operating across the country as of 2022. Anchoring this achievement have been a continuous commitment to innovation and a penchant for exploration.

Fiona Rodrigues, Head of Marketing and Innovation said, “Drawing inspiration from diverse cuisines from across the world, we as a brand are passionate about innovation. We explore and strive to create recipes that would delight the Malaysian palate, while staying true to flavors’ origins. Looking back, it has always been a shared exploration between us and our customers, and we always cherish the opportunity to bring more authentic flavors of the world to their tables.”

The latest offerings from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® Malaysia centre around the Ramadan and Raya season, welcoming Malaysians to Explore the Heart of Raya. Inspired by flavours both familiar and extraordinary, the seasonal beverages include the Vanilla Cardamom Cold Brew Coffee and Cardamom Oat Milk Macchiato. Infused with aromatic cardamom, the subtle hint of spice adds a depth of flavor that does not overpower the senses. Also featured are the thirst-quenching Mangoes & Cream Ice Blended® and Mangoes & Cream Cold Brew Tea.

Meanwhile, the seasonal Ramadan and Raya menu also features the locally-inspired The Straits and Pine-lemon Sugee cakes, while other delectable dessert selections are the Midnight Chocolate cake, Mangoes & Cheese Tart and Cinnamon Raisin Swirl. Alongside this, Middle-Eastern inspired flavors are also up for exploration, with the Fattoush Salad, Hummus with Tortilla Chips, Chicken Shawarma and Baklava Delight.

While innovation in the kitchen remains one of the key focus for the brand, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® Malaysia is also planning to further enhance customer accessibility with the expansion its drive-thru services. Through this, the brand aims to provide a better on-the-go experience for a greater number of customers.

Alongside this commemoration, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® Malaysia has also announced the extension of the brand’s ambassadorship with Meerqeen.

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® Malaysia’s Sierra Fresco café begins operations on the 15th April 2023 and is set to operate between 7 AM to 12AM from Monday to Sunday at Jln Sierra 10/1, Bandar 16 Sierra, 47110 Puchong, Selangor.
