Lunar New Year Celebration at Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur

Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur invites you and your loved ones to explore our culinary delights to welcome Lunar New Year, year of the water rabbit. A joyful celebration with a delightful line up of auspicious offerings from dine-in to take-aways and gifts makes it the perfect occasion to show your love and appreciation to your family, friends, and business associates to usher in the Spring Festival from 3 January to 5 February 2023.

And this time of the year, we visited Shang Palace and we get to sample their wide variety of delights that you will definitely wow and come back for more. 

Premium Caviar Abalone Yee Sang. 

Started off with the yee sang, Shang Palace offer you with their splendid and delicious yee sang. Start your Chinese New Year with their Premium Caviar Abalone Yee Sang. Freshly made in house, the yee sang comes superbly delicious and tempting. 

Double Boiled Fish Maw and “Kei Song” Mushroom Chicken Soup 

Boiled for hours, the double boiled fish maw is amazingly good and each sip of the soup is filled with aromatic hint. We love how to they are made and the soothing taste of it. 

Braised Sun-Dried Oyster with Dried Oyster with Dried Scallop and Sea Moss

A must in CNY dinner is definitely the Braised Sun-Dried Oyster with Dried Oyster with Dried Scallop and Sea Moss. The dish comes simply delicious and they are served with the pulpy dried scallop. The dish is absolutely a must to have in Shang Palace. 

Premium Soy Sauce Steam Cod Fish with Ginger Shred and Dry Mandarin Skin

The Premium Soy Sauce Steamed Cod Fish is perfectly done. The fish comes with an amazing texture. They are simply flaky and each mouthful is so good that I wanted more.

Classic “Shanghai” Braised Duck with wine less sauce

The Classic “Shanghai” Braised Duck is superbly good. It is one of the crowd’s favourite where the ducks comes simply tender and juicy. The meat is magnificent and every mouthful is really awesome and with the hint of the wine in it.

Stir fried “Kam Heong” fresh water prawn

The Stir Fried “Kam Heong” Fresh Water Prawns comes with the aromatic kam heng taste and yet with the fragrant light kick of spiciness. Love the way chef made the dish which is so good and appetizing

Sakura Prawn & Assorted Seafood Fried Rice

The mains ends with the Sakura Prawns together with the Assorted Seafood Fried Rice. I love how the fried rice is fried where they come with the little Sakura prawns in it which brings out the umami flavours. 

Combination of Pan Fried Nian Gao with Egg & Osmanthus Cake

Sweetened Red Bean Soup with Black Sesame Glutinous Dumpling

We ended our meal with the wholesome nian gao and sweet red bean soup which is a perfect indulgence. 

There are also six prosperity set menus of eight or nine courses: 8-Course Great Prosperity Set Menu at RM288 nett per person, 8-Course Rich Fortune Set Menu at RM388 nett per person, Vegetarian Menu at RM 248 nett per person, not available on Jan 21- 23, 2023. As for the 9-course menu will be available throughout the festive season with Happy Reunion Set Menu at RM3,528 nett per table of 6 persons, 9-Course Wealth Treasures Set Menu at RM8,880 nett per table of 10 persons and Vegetarian Menu at RM268nett per person with minimum order for four persons. All the set menus comes with Yee Sang at the start and ends with a combination of Pan fried Nian Gao.

Asides from that, they also offer Poon Choi where the serving is available for 3 people up to 10 people and the price starts from RM588 nett up to RM2388 nett.

Lemon Garden

At Lemon Garden enjoy a lavish spread and sumptuous Lunar buffet and toss to greater fortune with our Yee Sang specialties! A generous spread of sushi, sashimi, exquisite Asian and Western cuisine as well as other specialties. Featuring auspicious dishes such as Traditional Chinese Braised Mushroom, Dried oyster, Black Moss, Fish Stomach, Sea Cucumber and Broccoli, Kam Hiong Mud Crab, steamed sustainable Grouper Ginger with garlic oil, Stewed Whole Duck infused in Chinese spices and more.

On 21st -23rd January enjoy a Reunion with our Reunion Buffet Dinner with Yee Sang priced at RM288 nett per person, including assorted Yee Sang, Double Boiled Chinese Winter Melon Soup with Red Dates and Goji Berries, Vegetarian Buddha Delight and more.
