GREECE is the Word…For Late Summer Getaways

October 21, 2022 by StrawberrY Gal

As summer crowds dissipate after a busy holiday season, there has never been a better time to go against the grain and book an island getaway. With locations in two of Greece’s most sought-after islands, Mykonos and Santorini, Kivotos Hotel & Villas offers guests the chance to take advantage of the ongoing warm weather, in a luxurious setting favoured by royalty and a-list celebrities.

Kivotos Santorini, built atop the cliffside in Imerovigli, stands out against the island’s whitewashed and blue coloured houses thanks to its jet black and smoke grey colouring. The interior of the property is just as striking, leaning on the fundamentals of minimalist design, and providing a new take on the legacy architecture of the region.

The seven Cave Suites and Cave Villa of Kivotos Santorini feature panoramic views of the island’s caldera rising from the Aegean Sea, complementing varying luxury amenities, from indoor pools, hot tubs and hammams. Every element of the property has been designed to pre-empt guests needs and respond with luxurious solutions that feel both inviting and authentic to the broader landscape.

Kivotos’ flagship hotel in Mykonos shares the same commitment to superior design and luxury. Incorporating contemporary art and antiques into the design of the 41 suites and villas, the property presents as a liveable gallery and provides opportunity for guests to have an up close and personal experience with the pieces. The visual elements of the interior complement the panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, and beauty of the Ornos Bay, of which the hotel is situated.

Kivotos Mykonos delivers the island to your doorstep, with the town centre only a stone throws away and the opportunity for culinary delights and cultural experiences only a short walk away. For those guests less inclined to explore beyond the property walls, the three restaurants and two bars serve everything from fine dining experiences to drinks delivered poolside.

The boutique hotels provide a gateway to exploring the islands, and the late summer period allows visitors to immerse themselves into the day-to-day activities of the community without the high-season busyness that can often remove the joy of holidaying.
