Samsung Malaysia Electronics today launched the New Galaxy M22, the latest addition to Samsung’s popular mid-range smartphone portfolio that is superior in quality and performance that suits your everyday life. This phone features a 6.4-inch HD+ Super AMOLED display with smooth 90Hz refresh rates, a 48MP quad-camera and a 5,000mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging , the new Galaxy M22 delivers continuous connectivity, exceptional camera capabilities and an immersive viewing experience.

Packing an array of features and capabilities in the palms of users, the Galaxy M22 helps users to stay connected, capture memorable moments and remain on top of their tasks for work, play and everything in between, to make the most of their every day,” said Edward Han, president of Samsung Malaysia Electronics. 

Enjoy vivid and lively visuals for your favorite content 

Besides the stunning 6.4-inch HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U Display on the Galaxy M22 to for crisp visuals, Samsung has introduced a 90Hz refresh rate for users to enjoy smoother scrolling when it comes to enjoying entertainment, browsing and multi-tasking on their smartphone. An upgrade from its predecessor with a 60Hz refresh rate, the Galaxy M22 also has a brightness level of up to 600 nits  in High Brightness Mode that stays clear even under glaring sunlight. 

Capture memorable moments with the versatile quad camera

The Galaxy M22 features a versatile quad camera to snap images of the moments that matter most. 

Use the 48MP main camera to take clear and bright images, even from far, throughout the day. The 8MP Ultra Wide Camera lets the user take in even more of the landscape with a 123° angle of view, and the 2MP Depth Camera allows the subject to stand out against the soft blur of the background. For close-up shots, use the Macro Camera to capture details in spectacular clarity, while the 13MP front camera snaps beautiful images that puts you in the spotlight. 

In addition, the Galaxy M22 comes with other camera modes like the AR Function for users to add more fun to their pictures, and the Night Mode to capture vivid photos in low lighting.

Power that lasts through the day 

Ideal for users who need a smartphone capable of high performance with constant usage, the Galaxy M22 features a powerful octa-core Helio G80 processor with up to 6GB of RAM that runs smoothly no matter which app is in use. For smartphone power users such as content creators, Samsung has expanded the storage up to 128GB for the new Galaxy M22, which also allows for extended memory of up to 1TB  via an external memory card.

The large 5,000 mAh battery on the Galaxy M22 supports hours of entertainment and usage. In addition, with 25W Super Fast Charging, users can power through the day without a long recharge downtime.

Offering multi-layered security against threats, Samsung Knox protects the Galaxy M22 right of the box. It supports the latest Android 11 and One UI for a focused and seamless user experience to get more done with content and features easily accessible.

Color options, price and launch date

The new Galaxy M22 is available in two colour offerings: Black and Light Blue, in a sleek design with soft curves that makes it both eye-catching and comfortable to hold. 

The new Galaxy M22 will be sold on Samsung Online Store from 5th October 2021* with Recommended Retail Price of RM899. In conjunction with Shopee 10.10 campaign, new owners can enjoy RM120 off when you shop for Galaxy M22 on Shopee at only RM779 from 3rd to 10th October 2021.
