G Hotel Rises to the Occasion and Receives Four Honourable Awards Amid COVID19 Pandemic Crisis

Penang’s stylish duo, G Hotel Gurney and G Hotel Kelawai were recently honoured with four top accolades from well-known online booking service providers, namely the “Best Travelers’ Experience Award” by Traveloka, “Loved By Guests Award” by Hotels.com and “Customer Review Award” by Agoda. Both hotels also received the prestigious “2020 Travellers Choice Award” by Tripadvisor, the world’s largest travel and review platform which further affirms its service standards amongst business and leisure travellers.

G Hotel Gurney was crowned with an outstanding rating of 8.5 in the “Best Traveller’s Experience Award 2020” by Traveloka, a leading Southeast Asian online travel company that provides travellers a wide range of travel needs, from accommodations to flight bookings in one platform. Winners for the “Best Traveller’s Experience Award 2020” were carefully selected and evaluated based on the compilation of guests’ reviews and feedback on Traveloka’s website from year 2019 with high rating scores of 8.0 and above. Judging criteria to be nominated as a winner comprises of outstanding guest reviews in all aspects during their stay from delivering exceptional service to all guests to providing top-notch cleanliness during their stay.

With traveller reviews becoming more influential lately, the “Loved by Guests Award 2020” programme by Hotels.com is the second award bagged by both G Hotel Gurney and G Hotel Kelawai amid the pandemic crisis. Hotels.com’s Loved by Guests’ Awards programme is an annual award that celebrates and recognises hotels with high review rating, determined by over 20 million trusted travellers all around the world. Epitomising 5-star international hospitality, G Hotel Gurney was honoured to receive a remarkable score of 9/10, whereas G Hotel Kelawai received an excellent score of 9.2/10. Both hotels were judged based on receiving high volume of positive guest ratings during their stay.

In addition, Agoda has also recognised G Hotel Gurney and G Hotel Kelawai with the 2020 Customer Review Awards. The Customer Review Award recognizes hotels with scores over 8.0 that consistenly delivers outstanding services so that guests are assured that they have made the right choice booking these award-winning hotels through Agoda. A few of the key elements to receive these recognitions includes the comfort of guests’ stay, value for money, location, cleanliness, services and facilities. Agoda is one the world’s fastest growing online travel booking platforms that offers a global network of 2 million properties in more than 200 countries and territories worldwide.

To add to an extensive collection of accolades, Tripadvisor, the world’s largest travel and review platform with more than 859 million reviews has also awarded both G Hotel Gurney and G Hotel Kelawai with 2020 Travellers’ Choice Award, placing both hotels in the top 10% of hospitality businesses around the globe. Winners were carefully selected by Tripadvisor based on the quality and quantity of reviews by travellers and the consistency of receiving great traveller feedback throughout the year.
