A JOYFUL CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION WITH SHELTER HOME FOR CHILDREN

December 21, 2019 by StrawberrY Gal

Sharing the Christmas spirit, One World Hotel hosted a special screening of the fantastical Jumanji: The Next Level movie at the TGV Indulge Halls, One Utama Shopping Centre recently. Thirty four children aged between the ages of 4 and 17 together with their guardians from Shelter Home for Children were treated to a fun-filled movie cum luncheon.

A surge of happy smiles appear on the children’s faces as soon as they arrived. They were greeted warmly by One World Hotel’s management team, led by Assistant Public Relations Manager, Ms Lin Teh. Each child also received a refreshment pack consisting of popcorn and beverage during the 2-hour movie.

After the movie, the overly-excited children, almost uniformly cheerful could not stop raving about it. They were then feted to a sumptuous spread of buffet lunch afterwards at the hotel’s award-winning Cinnamon Coffee House.

“I’m over the moon! I really enjoyed every bit of the movie and it is by far the best movie experience I’ve ever had. The cinema’s reclining seat was so comfortable,” said Michelle, one of the children.

She added contentedly, “Not only that, food choices here at Cinnamon are aplenty! It is hard to decide what to eat. And, best of all, I had bottomless ice-cream too!”

“I believe it is our moral and social responsibilities to give back to the community, which in one way or another has contributed to the success and growth of the hotel. CSR efforts like this helps to remind us to focus more on what truly matters in life,” said One World Hotel’s general manager, Chris Niuh.
Shelter Home for Children, a registered welfare organization, has been in existence since 1981 to help abused, abandoned, neglected or at-risk children. Non-profit organisation sorely depending on public’s goodwill and donations. If you wish to find out more about this organisation, please contact the Shelter at +603 7955 0663 or email at [email protected]
