A Holiday Feast at Hotel Istana Kuala Lumpur

Hotel Istana Kuala Lumpur welcomes the joyous Christmas and New Year season with special festive dining offerings. And this time around, one can expect a delectable exciting spread with the wide Christmas Delicacies at the Songket Lounge.

Starting from 6.30 pm until 10.30 pm on 24 December, the Christmas Eve Buffet Dinner, priced at RM148 nett per adult, includes a glass of Wine or Santarina Mocktail.

Starts your meal off with the exciting and yet creative menu that features the festive starters include the fresh mushroom stuffed with the mix nuts and herbs, seafood terrine with orange sauce, deep-fried crab ball with dill aioli, and many more. Enjoy some delicious shooters which include the Virgin Mary and Oyster, Clear Lemongrass Lime and Clam, Chilled Gazpacho and Crab Filament to name a few.

Must try of course is their variety of great dishes such as the crusted tuna, gravlax, smoked salmon, smoked mackerel,  and the wide choices of the cheese platter.

They do offer the wide seafood platter that you will definitely indulge which includes the oysters, prawns, mussels, slipper lobster, blue swimmer crab and more.

And of course, don’t miss out the festive feast this year with the awesome Succulent Smoked Brisket – smoked to perfection, something which is definitely a ‘must-try’ dish. ‘We wanted to introduce something new this year, apart from traditional Turkey, and we decided on the Brisket. And this dish took about 10 hours to prepare the dish.

Other Highlights include traditional Roasted Turkey and its stuffings, Chicken Roulade Au Jus Stuffed with Apple and Walnut, Crusted Salmon with Pomegranate Cous Cous and Maitre D’Hotel Butter, Slow Braised Sticky BBQ Beef Ribs with Root Vegetables, Chessy Seafood Gratin, festive sweet delights and lots more.

Guests will also be entertained by our Christmas Carolers from 8.00 pm to 9.00 pm on Christmas Eve while enjoying feasting on our Christmas Delights. From 9.00 pm onwards, continue to chill out at Songket and order your favourite drinks and snacks while listening to the beat of our live music entertainment by our in-house band.

On Christmas Day, from 12.30 pm until 4.30 pm, treat your loved ones to an extensive Festive Buffet Hi-Tea at Taman Sari Brasserie. For only RM90 nett per adult, highlights include Roast Stuffed Turkey with Caramelized Vegetables and its condiments, Roast Beef Medallion with Salsa Verde, Fillet of St. Peters Fish with Garlic Lime Butter Cream Sauce and Baked Crusted Salmon with Honey Mustard Sauce, among others.

For New Year’s Eve Buffet Dinner at Taman Sari Brasserie, at only RM148 nett per adult, start your dinner with a glass of our Santarina Mocktail and feast on an abundance of holiday delights that include Baked Salmon Fillet Dill Cream Sauce, Lamb Steak with Baby Potatoes and Brussels Sprouts and if you are a BBQ lover, do try the grilled Red Snapper, Salmon, Flower Crab, Fresh Prawn, Squid, Green Mussel, Clam and more.

After dinner on 31December, head on to Songket Lounge where the countdown to the New Year will take place and party in style with our in-house band and live DJ raising the celebration with music and dancing, from 9.00 pm onwards. Special offer on bottle sales, balloon drops and exciting lucky draw prizes await patrons. There is no cover charge.

On New Year’s Day, welcome 2020 at Taman Sari Brasserie with an endless selection of irresistible dishes for only RM90 nett adult for Buffet Hi-Tea.
